Hey - FINALLY got my Prowler sounding like the mean machine that it is. I went down to pick up my SSS today, and Jay, being the gentlemen prowler enthusiast that he is, offered to help me take off my old and put the new SSS on. It sounded AWESOME. Then he said - let's take the baffles out. NOW it sounds like what I wanted.

I love the sound of the car now. Thanks again Jay (free mechanics are hard to find - LOL)

For those who are interested, here's pic of the Factory Baffles after they have been removed from the exhaust tips...

Buddy. They look like a couple of fat Tall Boys wrapped in fiberglas...

Jay didn't stop with Randy, I arrived a short time later and had my SSS installed today too. Awesome sound and a great experience. Jay was there to help all the way. I know its my imagination, but the Kat just seems faster. Great product, great price and great service. Its been said many times before - Jay is the man!

Funny you say that about the speed. Because driving back to WPB, I swore it was faster, but I know it must all be in my head.... Just when you think your smile can't get any bigger on your prowler, hearing that sound definately puts a broad smile on.

Hey Jim, the SSS utlizes the same back piece pipe and thus the same tips. I had the baffles taken out of the tips so that it's a nice big round hole now, and I'm going to paint the inside with high temp black - to give it the goes on forever look. That's the one advantage that the Borla has over this is the nice tips. But I figure you can always buy whatever tips you want to put on. Maybe if I find a set of Borla Carbon tips - those are nice.

Anyone know if the SSS muffler will bolt up to the Mopar tail pipes and tips? Just curious...

Pantera,

Jay would know best, but I can tell you the SSS muffler has the same dimensions in length and the connections in the front and rear are the same as the stock muffler. Jay had it designed for the "home installer" and as such it minimal physical changes. Hope that helps.

Pantera, Since I just got done doing the install myself, let me answer Yes, I disconnected the back pipes, then took out the muffler, put the new SSS in, and attached the back pipes back on. Probably about 45 minutes total. I'd love to say I did it myself, but Jay did help guide me along. Get it - you'll love it. I went under a bridge today from a stoplight and punched it - WOW - what a sounds :D :D :D
