Hi CJ,
I have a Hot Rod magazine at home that I saved which features a Prowler on the cover that was modified to accept a Small Block Chevrolet V-8 engine. It is a very interesting article, with lots of pictures. The owner remained 'un-named', but I am sure he/she was a person of means. The conversion was very costly. I can try to scan in the cover and article if you wish!

The "unnamed" owner has a name now.

It's none other than Chip Foose

That car is owned by Dick Marriott (Marriott Hotels, GM Board of Directors). Lingenfelter installed the Corvette engine and trans, Chip Foose modified the front suspension, fabricated the grille, modified the hood, extended the rear fenders and constructed the rollpan.

This is the V8 car that many keep referring to.
