I am going to be looking at my first Prowler tomorrow. It is a 2000 triple black with 15k miles. What should I be concerned with when looking at it. What questions should I ask the dealer specifically towards the Prowler? Are there any problems I should be aware of? How well are these machines built? Please any info for a hopefully newbie is greatly appreciated. Bobby |

Bobby, Does it have extended warranty?(nice to have) Are the ball joint recalls done? Are the inside of the chrome wheels peeling? Check the tread left on the tires. At 15K a misalignment will show up big time. Have the dealer run aservice report for you to see if it had any recurring problems, and if it has been looked after. Lift the hood and see if the hood shocks hold the hood open. just somethings to check ! Mike |

Have the dealer put in a new battery! It's about due. Check the NADA guide for price. Dave |

The dealer will probably go on and on about how rare these are etc.... The reality is that there are a lot of very nice Prowlers for sale out there. There's a Black Tie in Indiana that hit reserve at $32k and only has 200 miles! I paid $27,500 for my '99 black with 580 miles. (That was just luck possibly) If he has had it for a while, start in the high $20's. If he holds firm in the mid $30's - WALK! What price is he asking? Good luck! ------------------ This message has been edited by kevina on 03-26-2005 at 06:11 AM |
