Not what I wanted completely, but this pattern covers the bulk of the outside mirrors against the flying rocks. May use clear 3M film on the trunk base. Opinions? Interest? ------------------ |

Here is a link to the custom made mirror covers [really nice]: Couldn't justify the $190.00 cost for those,,,,so off to the AC design studios to save big $$$ on a generic version.

AC you owe me 10 cents for this idea...Use one of Ed's old hair nets to cover each mirror, but make sure the elastic is still good. lol |

Could you shoot a few coats of clear coat and make a clear coat shield. Maybe the clear bra stuff, put on with a heat gun. Will keep thinking. I guess if you drive backwards all the time you would only get the mirror dirty. This message has been edited by pumpkin on 03-19-2005 at 10:14 AM |

Here's what I thinking about to prevent future rock chips: I might go with a straighter arm instead of the sidewinder. |

Richard - I have your idea on the back burner,,,only one problem with Ed's old hair nets = head lice, lol. Buddy - fur lined is optional @ extra cost Norm - good idea,,,I need to work with that suggestion. Marty - maybe one of RR Bob's old stocking caps instead? Rich - not for daily use,,,,,intended for road trips which always seem to get me chipped. |

L.E. and A/C: You folks read my mind. I was THIS close to ordering the Speed Linderie versions (along with the bumper covers) specifically for the Dells trip (my first long distance run). I'd be honored to be one of your first customers. Send me details, if you would please. Thanks, Kevin ------------------ |

In working with Stitchco on the car and trailer bras, they are also working on mirror covers for the Prowler with the Prowler logo on them. |

I was getting chips on my mirrors on road trips and bought the Speed Lingerie ones. I got them in yellow to match my kat. They are pricey, but fit very well I only use them on road trips. |
