Detroit Autorama has lots of hot rods, the Ridler contenders, celebrities, car corral, and a toy fair.

I always search the toy fair for Prowler stuff and this time I hit the jackpot! I was shocked to find this...........it is brand new and only taken out of the box for display.

Very cool! I believe that only JCPenney offered the purple version of the TekNek ride-on Prowler, WalMart only had them in red and yellow.

Great find, congratulations!

CJ.

Neat toy! Anything Prowler is a must have.

Here's a headsup on this toy - there was a recall on it

Yes, it is a J.C. Penney item.....it even had the shipping box with it. Thanks for the info, Pumpkin......I hadn't planned on using it for anything other than display.

The lady told me she had another one, but she sold it. I don't know if she meant at the show or not.......wonder who bought it?

CJ ... way cool ... how much? I still have the original box for my yellow one! That makes it even more "rare" if and when you go to sell it.

CJ...lucky lady...I have been looking for one for 3 years now...I have bid on a couple on Ebay but went out of sight in a hurry. Now you need the Go-Kart (if you don't already have it).

Bob: Had bought a yellow one new in box on Ebay before my daughter was born, took pictures of her when she was just one in her Easter outfit sitting in it, abviously couldn't drive it yet ... was finally just this last year at age 4 that she really enjoyed riding it and her Barbie Corvette and Lamborghini around the drive ... and to me ... that was the greater enjoyment than just having it on display. But for those that are past the "kid raising" years, display is good too!

Had our four grandkids at the house recently and the battery powered one (like the purple CJ found) was just right for the 1-2 year olds inside the house and out...

(The 'bigger' kids seemed to prefer the Go-Kat! If I can ever figure out how to post videos to the site, I will show you what that Go-Kat can do!!)

Nice find CJ. I found one a while ago and am almost finished modifying it. Removed the front bumpers, make a filler piece, painted the body, interior and wheels and in the process of making a manifold for the hood. Sent you a picture to post if you would please.

I've been trying to purchase one for a long time......was bidding on one recently, but got outbid at the last second.

Bob Miller.......I've been trying to purchase the pedal cars and the go-kart for years........but now my grandkids are 12 and 7, so the pedal car is too big for them. Maybe someday I will have a chance at the go-kart before they are too big for that too!

Jim.......no one was more surprised than I was to find this at the toy fair! I bought the Prowler telephone at this same toy fair a number of years ago. Actually, I have more than 3 Prowlers.......I also have a yellow Pedal car.....the other style............not counting my hundreds and hundreds (some day I'm going to have to count) of diecasts, etc.

It's a sickness!

Ed, now that I have two pedal cars, I told Bob I should paint one black and one Candy........but you know how he feels about stock!
