Just wanted to thanks to all the people who helped out with my questions on prowlers.Flew out fri am to eastern Tennessee, saw the prowler, paid for it,and headed home to Wis. Found out Thursday the Knoxville area was expecting a ice storm,so we made it as far as we could Fri night.Ran into a little snow, but nothing bad at all.Now it is all washed up under a cover in the garage! 2001 Orange Plymouth Prowler 7000 miles on it now.

Mark, did you enjoy the drive home? I realize it was tempered somewhat by the weather but what about the rest of the trip?
Glad you made it home okay and got it put away. Put ceramic pads on the front only this winter.

The drive home was good. The fear of freezing rain/drizzle/snow kept us alert. Will never get tired of the stares/thumbs up and general questions....how much, who makes it etc.. etc....

You made a wise a decision not spending the night here in Louisville and getting further north. It wasn't REALLY bad but for abopuit two hours this morning the sleet/snow made the road REALLY slippery for a Prowler. I did a 360 on a four lane road a block from home and gturned around to get Rebecca 4 wheel drive.

Hope you enjoyed your trip!

From another 2001 Orange Plymouth Prowler owner - Congrats and enjoy the car and this site. Don't be afraid to ask questions, POA is a great resource for info.

Have the ball joints been replaced on your Prowler? There's a recall on them.

I really don't know if the ball joints have been replaced.I suppose I could my local dealer, give them the vin and ask. When I picked up the car I asked the dealer if they had another remote for the locks,he said they did not have one and could not program another for the car.Is this true? Can I get another remote for the locks?

this is the link to see if any recalls are pending
http://www.chrysler.com/webselfservice/chrysler/index.jsp?screenName=recall&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%28%27R%27%29

I wouldn't think a replacement remote should be a problem based on my understanding - but I'm no expert

Congrats!
He lied to you about the remotes. Get used to dealers doing that to you. They're available at the parts dept. Tell them what year you have. Post the part number for others. You will have to get it programed when you buy it. They will have to re-program your current one at the same time. Takes about 5 minutes and any service manager worth a damn can do it for you at no extra cost. I think there's a way you can program them yourself but offhand I can't think how it is done. Maybe our resident grrowl(er) can direct you.
