OK, here's the deal, and maybe I just found MY first Ebay "bad apple" ... won a bid for "new chrome Prowler center caps" on December 6th. Finally got the individual to provide name and mailing address so payment (personal check - as all have been paid by) could go out. He responded and payment went out on December 10th. Here it is December 24th almost and Zip, Zero, Zilch, Nadda from the guy! Yet, he does have another auction going for the SAME EXACT thing ... Yes, I have sent him 2 Emails now with NO replies to either ... His name is Jeremy Dye and he lives at 1395 S. 150 W Greenfield, IN 46140. Would you start "fraud" preceedings within Ebay yet, or wait ... and if so, how long would you? Now, I have had people send merchandise the same day I sent payment -- was quite surprised by that ... and others have "waited 5 days" for check to clear, which I am perfectly fine with ... but from Indianapolis to Chicago doesn't take long for USPS or even someone to walk with a package ... thoughts? OH, anyone KNOW this guy or would like to knock on his door ... I would both appreciate and 'reward' (somehow). Thanks .. and also I guess, beware of him, Ebay seller ID is powerman5000 |

sorry to hear that, kinda went thru a similar thing on a prowler headlight, which was sent to me w/damage already on it.took 3 months to get most of my money back.go to ebays web site and file a fraud complaint, its a long pain in the a-- process.the most if you win which i did, will get from ebay ,is 175.00.it depends on how much, you paid, but 175.00 is the max. ------------------ |

I'm waiting for 33 days now from a guy who says he mailed them out. Then about 10 days ago said he mailed out another. Well i'm giving it another week then bad feedback. Its around a $10 item so i'm not going to loose sleep over it, but it seems easy for some guys to get their negative feedback deleted? How I have no idea! ------------------ |

Read the ebay site for procedings. Your first step is to contact seller by phone and you have to do that within 15 days of the end of auction. If not all steps are followed, ebay has an out not to do anything. There are time constraints on each step. Here's a couple links I bookmarked. I don't remember what's on them but they might help. Uptil now I have been very lucky buying stuff on e-bay and I was close to bidding on this guy's center caps. However if you look at his feedback it is strange to see that in the right hand column there are 4 people giving feedback on the same item. I have never seen this therefor decided not to bid and pay the couple of $$ extra on the Moparpart items. Best regards, Kees |

I have had to go through the fraud steps only once with E-bay, but you must follow the steps, meet the time constraints and document everything. It does work if you do that. |

the phone is listed for that address as Daniel Dye (317) 462-5592 I'll call and see if I can get an answer for you. He lives about 7 miles from me. Larry I just called. I'm assuming that I talked to his dad. He stated that he is staying with a friend. I asked guy on phone to have him return my call. REWARD OH GOODY JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. This guy called me about 2 months ago and had like 90 Chrome and 40 silver caps he wanted to sell me for $25 a piece I told him to go to e-bay. My guess is the company that makes the caps must be someplace close to WildCat. |

I won the bidding for a Prowler t-shirt. I waited for 10 days than called the guy for status of my order. He claimed it was just finished and being shipped. I waited one week then e-mailed him and he said he was mailing it that day. Then three days later I e-mailed him again and got no reply. I then sent a third e-mail the next day and got no reply. I then contacted e-bay and said this clown was not providing the goods and was not responding to my e-mails. He was immediately kicked off e-bay. I finally got my t-shirt about a week later, but I hope he is never allowed back on e-bay. It's a shame when you have to stay on someone's A$$ so they give you what you paid for!!! I had a deal very much like yours, you must report to ebay fraud and leave a comment for seller.I'm sure seller only gave you a limited time to close deal and same applies to him.If you wait to long e-bay will say to much time has gone by-they did that to me. |

At least you have someone close that can go by the guys residence. I would just keep calling and tell them either give you the product or return the money. I would also threaten them with the fraud deal on ebay as well as the police. Since you mailed a check through the USPS it can be considered mail fraud. Either way I would ask wildcat to go by and pick up the item or refund in person. This message has been edited by 01Prowler on 12-24-2004 at 01:23 PM |

Many thanks ... and a Merry Christmas too ... to all that have responded ... I was midway through filling out the Ebay complaint form as several have mentioned, then thought I would post and ask others of their "wait n see" experiences. WildCat ... I certainly DO appreciate the call into this guy and the number ... I too placed a call but got no answer. These were to be just a "spare set" in case of something happening to one of mine during removal and/or cleaning ... but this is now simply an unwanted headache ... his "free shipping" enticement to boot ... as Charlie Brown would say: "ARrrrggggghh!!" Please, let me know if you hear anything from this joker, as NOW I am interested in what his story is ... on Monday will follow through with Fraud through Ebay if no contact or shipment. Thank you again everyone ... and again ... Merry Christmas to all ... and to All a Kat Night! |

Left this guy a message with his Mom now today at like 12:30 and she said "he had just moved out" and would NOT give out his cell number. Explained the "situation" and all I got was a "I'll give him the message and have him call you". Sounds similiar to what you got WildCat from his Dad ... told her I would be following up with Ebay's fraud department on Monday if no response ... always one bad apple that stinks it up for everyone else, huh? |

Keep calling the mom and dad to try to get in touch. Maybe they will get tired of fielding the calls and force the guy to call you. |

Meancat ... I like your approach! I thought for sure, after being very polite and nice and all, that hearing the 'reason' for my wanting to get in touch with her son she WOULD have given me the number ... maybe THIS is why she doesn' give it out and he moved out huh? Sure ... let the calls begin ... he DOES have more auctions, hate for anyone else from the POA to encounter this too! |

Not sure if this helps, but Powerman 5000 is/was a band out of Boston. Figures if this guy liked them enough to use their screen name, I would be wary of anything he sells. JMO. http://pm5000.s5.com/ http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45103&item=3862182302&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW |
