It has now been 6 months that I had been under the weather and on the roller coaster with cancer, But with the prayers, cards and gifts from the extended family of POA Members and the grace of God yesterday I had my 5th chemo treatment and seem to be improving all the time however not out of the woods yet I really feel that I will beat this thing in the end and have a long long time to enjoy my Prowler Experience. On January 11th I will do treatment #6 then after that in two weeks will have a PET scan to tell if thats it or two more treatments hopeing 6 is the end. My hair is starting to come back however ever so slowly just a little stubble along with I seem to be getting stronger and legs last longer for standing and walking and am able to wear shoes again instead of slippers all the time. As for the Prowler due to the sale of the hard top and other gifts have managed to bank well over a years payment so will have it for a long time to come and am able to enjoy driving again in the last month have put over 2500 miles on ol SUNKIST, looks my Texas via so-cal, Az and Ok may be in feb of 05 cant wait for that. I know this is long and boreing but is the only way for me to thank all of you wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I really want to also thank my family (all four girls) and my wonderful life long friend and wife Kathy, and a special thanks to my youngest daughter Amanda for reaching out to the POA family and the way she was accepted by all of you. God Bless you all curtis blockhus aka block-buster ------------------ |

Hey Curtis - it is wonderful to hear you are doing so well. I'm sure that helps make this holiday season even more special for you and your family. If yo are able to make that trip to Texas in February maybe you may want to consider going East one more state and making the drag races Laddie is planning for Feb 20th - (especially if you get a nitrous kit installed by then) Merry Christmas |

Curtis, I did not find it long or boring. It is always nice to read some positive stories especially at this time of year. Hopefully the next treatment will be the last one and everything will be clean on the PET scan. Merry Christmas to you and your entire family. Enjoy every day, none of us no how many days we have left here on earth. Heart attacks, accidents etc can take any of us in a heartbeat, no matter how young or old, rich or poor. It is good to read you are doing better and still have the Prowler. |

Fantastic new my friend! You will remain in my thoughts each day. I want to wish you, Kathy and your wonderful daughters a wonderful Christmas and a VERY healthy 2005 and beyond. You mentioned that you are starting to get your hair back. Well if you have some secrets on growing hair let me know fast, because mine is falling out. You must look like me now If you ever make it back to Virginia, I'd be honored to put you up and feed you and show you around. |
