Scott - It was easy for me,,,,,I gave one to myself, lol. My reserved cat order came into the dealership in Lincoln, Nebr. on Christmas Eve, 1999. Picked it up on Jan. 15,2000 and drove it home to Az. Don't get the personal plate until later on, JMO,,,unless you know what you want for sure.
Tie a bow on it!! The car dude, the car, lol. Should be a huge surprise! If not, my lawyer is Al Bendover. He doesn't work cheap,,,but wins : |

You could have someone put the car in the driveway after you are already in the house. Ask her to come outside to help you with a light, but bulky package. That way she sees it without any prior warning or clues. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 12-21-2004 at 12:02 AM |

Both of my cats were anniversary gifts. The first one (99 Black) was presented to me in front of a whole lot of people at Chrysler. He had my bosses bring me to DC under false pretenses! He had my personalized plates on it (that we ordered when the car went into production) and then had me drive it back home! The second one (2002 Candy) was not a surprise, but he did arrange for me to be able to pick it up at the Prowler plant and drive it home. I'm sure that anything you do will be a wonderful surprise! |

Get one of those huge bows to put on it. Have your friend deliver it to the driveway early that morning (with the bow on the car of course.) Maybe a big tag saying "From Santa" and just wait for him/her to look out the window Christmas morning. Of course, you have the spare set of keys to give him/her after he/she sees it. |

My Xmas gift was to myself, but I surprised the family (kids really, wife knew) on Christmas morning. I bought the Kat 12-19 and hid it in a neighbor's garage until Christmas Eve. I put the keys in my stocking and waited for one of my kids to pour it out. My daughter finally asked if she could see what I got in my stocking and emptied it onto the floor. As she looked though the usual stuff she spotted the keys. She yelled, jumped up, and ran to the garage. My boys couldn't believe it and began calling their friends. Here I am 12-25-03. Although it was not a Prowler, here's what I did in 2001 when I gave my wife a 1969 Mini Cooper as a Christmas gift. She had NO prior idea that she was getting it. I had it stored in a neighbor's garage around the corner from our house. On Christmas morning everyone opened gifts, and all the kids and Mom were happy with their presents...then we started cleaning up...and I took out gift wrapping trash ...and my cell phone...dumped the trash in the can...ran to the neighbor's ...opened the garage...backed out the car and called her from the cell...asked her and the kids to come outside as I needed some help..and then as they walked out I came driving up the street with a big green and red bow on the Mini...you should have seen her smile!!!! |

I gave mine to myself last Christmas. We were viviting family in PA when my sister told me the local dealer had one in his showroom for the past 2 years, with only 5 miles on it and he was trying to get rid of it. The rest is history. |
