Well...........today was the day..........the Black Cat and the Candy Cat crawled back in the bags today for another winter nap (hopefully a short nap). This is the longest I've had the cats out before winter storage. It's been nice being able to drive them this long, but once the snow falls and the salt gets put out......... March isn't that far away, and there's lots to do while I'm waiting. It's been a great season with all the Prowler events we've attended and we're looking to more of the same next year. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

We have had one very light snow fall here, but they did salt the roads. I finished putting the cars away over Thanksgiving. |

CJ - hopefully with the holidays upon us that will take your mind off of not being able to drive the kats for a while. I'll be driving mine back to Westech for another two week round of tuning/tweaking while I am working in Phoenix in January. I juts hope my car doesn't get "snowed in" once it is there. By the time I get it back to Norm it should have 6 or 7 thousand miles on the new engine upgrade so he can take a good look at everything and make sure it is the way it should it should be. Marty |

CJ, I understand your angst. My Kat was put away several weeks ago, and eventhough we got snow last night (which made me feel a bit better), there's something gut-wrenching the Prowler being in the bag and not on the road. The holidays help 'cuz Santa always brings me cool Prowler stuff! Kevin ------------------ |

Kees..........I'm happy for you that you will be able to get your cat soon.........just a shame you won't have much driving time........ GenoTex........it snowed right after we left for the Daytona Turkey Run........my son said we got about 4 inches and yes, salt was used........ Marty and Kevin...........yes, the holidays do take priority at this time of the year.......lots of things to do and we stay pretty busy..........I don't miss it as much that way. Before you know it, March/April will be here soon. Have lots of projects planned for the next few months that I need to get done........that way, when I let the cats out of the bag.........I can get back to some serious driving!! Chromer.......Did you back it out of the garage just long enough to take that picture? (Besides, we all know it's not my choice to bag the cats for the winter. ) CRAZY, CRAZY CRAZY! |

The weather is nuts. It is 60 here today but they said snow by the end of the week. I don't put mine away, just in case some good weather hits for a few days. Salt is the big culprit here, too. I may be done for the year but don't really know for sure. Winter sucks as you get older. |

mines been sleeping since nov 16th when we got 18" of snow....some areas here are sanded and it usually takes a few good rain storms in the spring to wash it away , i'll be lucky to get the kat back on the road by april first......can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

My Mulholland is also sleeping since end of October (first snow). I also hope for the last week of march or at least April 1st to be back on the streets. The long winter-season is here, but now I have time for the mods. Gery |

Know what you mean Ed.........snow last night.....tomorrow they are calling for 55 and Thunderstorms! I don't have a problem driving it when it's cold....cloudy or sunny, but I draw the line at driving it in all the salt they dump on the streets here........then we have to wait for the Spring rains to wash it all away............ oh, well, at least we don't have hurricanes, mudslides and earthquakes! |

I feel for ya CJ. After seeing the your cars on the lift though I understand why you don't want to drive 'em in the slop, they shined as much underneath as on top. Course mine is another matter. Been driven in blizzards with mag chloride, salt and gravel on the roads and takes me a couple weekends when it's really lousy outside to get it looking even half as clean as yours. Hey and by the way Happy 27th anniversary. |

Marc, It's not like my cats haven't been in the rain at least, because they have. What you saw on the lift was a lot of hard work hand cleaning the underside of the cats........by ME!!! LOL! JD.........all that sun and heat must have gotten to you......I haven't been 27 for the last 29 years!!! lol! |

CJ Obviously have never met you but you do have the choice of where you live. I had an Architectural office until five years back. Went in to the office on December 28th, it was 20 below zero and it seemed that everyone I talked to gave me a ration of that brown stuff. Locked the door that night and went home to inform the wife and kids that I was not going back to the office ever again, where do you want to live. I never saw my office again and we were living in Hawaii in February. Wife went back in June and officially closed the office. Finally came to the realization that money and lifestyle were just not that important. I can always get another job when I run out of money ! It seems that your heart is in Colorado, which I can understand, so go for it, be impulsive to the max, life is short when you get our age !!!!!! |
