The PT Cruiser club invited us to join them at a Car Show this past Saturday. It was a small show (about 100 cars) but had some very high dollar cars attending including two Ferrari's, two Vipers and a Rolls Royce. We took both the Prowler and the PT Dream Cruiser 4 Convert. The Prowler was awarded a Top 15 throphy. The PT did not get anything and anyway we just entered for fun because we were with the PT Club. It did however get a lot of attention from the crowd. Many had never seen a PT Convert before. None of the PT's were awarded a throphy which really surprised us as some of these guys have more money in their PT's than most modified Prowlers. One has many thousands of dollars in paint alone. They are a great bunch of folks and a ton fo fun to hang with. In fact a Viper guy also hangs out with the PT folks because the Viper people (in his words) are kind of snobish. He has a white roadster with blue stripes and white wheels. Awesome looking car. It was a cold windy day but we had a lot of fun.

Way to go. After seeing your car several times I understand why it is a "trophy" car.

Man that sounds like a plan. Maybe I can get Eddie Powell , Rick Ellis , David Budner and Gordon Karns to join us. With the leaves changing it might be a good time for a cruise. Dang we were over in your neck of the woods Sat. The show was at Flowery Branch, up 985 off exit 12.

Congrats Rich. Very surprising to hear that no PT got an award. Count us in on the cruise. As many times as I have been to Athens and Clarke Co I have never seen a prowler. Hope to see you very soon.

Yeah, I went to and event last summer and there were some Viper guys there and they were real snobbish. They came over and asked all of the Prowlers to "hold back" for the parade as the Vipers needed to go first and not have any prowlers mixed in with them!

I have been on several Prowler events where the organizers asked non Prowlers to move the rear of the line. I can't remember anybody demanding it and if during the course of a cruise some Prowlers fell behind the other vehicles nobody got upset.

On the otehrhand my daughetr Lindsay took our Prowler to a weekend car show and some Viper guys made room for her to park amongst their Vipers and told her a Prowler deserved to be parked with other Mopars.

My point is I guess there is a "pecking order" with a lot of car clubs, even some POA events. The difference is the attitudes of the individuals involved.

Congrats on your win.

If you like to do car shows, you should be able to win many trophies. I've won 47 trophies/plaques with our '99 Purple over the last 5 years. Go for it!!

I participate in a local parade for the last several years with the '99 Purple. 'Dignitaries' (which are congressmen, mayor, etc), always want to ride in the "Prowler Convertible"

Thanks Nelson , We have already picked up a ton of throphies and plaques. But not close to 47. We have not even done 47 shows. We spend a bunch of time each year attending Prowler events. Those are way more fun than shows. Our 99 Purple is heavliy modified. Here are some pics.
