Just an update . After pulling the transaxle yesterday The fuel tank came out today ! One of the worst jobs that can actually be accomplished ! I sympathize with anyone on the list that has had to do this. Anyway ,started to fabricate necessary brackets. Now there is all kinds of room to work .

Bruce--I didn't do the work, but my local wrench did on a lift. He had my transmission out and back in two hours for a converter change. How much more work to pull the tank? What are you doing anyway?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could put in a larger one?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't Bruce reconstructing a Cat from the ground up??? I hope he's taking lots of pics as he progresses. I'd love to see them.
Have a good day everyone!

Hi All ! Unfortunately I am not doing this on a lift . Just have the cats *** jacked way up in the air .Trust me , the stars have to be in the correct alignment to pry the tank out . I'm sure that much of this is my lack of familiarity ,. However I have been wrenching for over 40 years and done some pretty horrible jobs .The trans axle itself was not a bad job. I think things will be easier on the reverse. Will take some photos today .
Cheers , Bruce
