Motorbooks International has just released a really nice book on Mopars. It's called

MOPAR MUSCLE
Fifty Years
Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler Performance

It was written by Robert Genat and photographed by David Newhardt.

This book is filled with some of the most gorgeous Mopars you'll see. Included is a section on Prowler and also features one of our club member's car....The California Kid Car owned by Larry and Debbie Weiner of Performance West. It's one awesome collection!

RPL (Bob) says that Robert Genat will be at SEMA and the book will be for sale. He said that if anyone would want a copy, he can pick one up for you and have Mr. Genat autograph it for you. I looked up the price on Motorbooks International's website and it is normally $50.00 (on sale right now for $45.00). We do not know what it will be selling for at the show.

If anyone is interested in an autographed copy, just let Bob know via posting here, private message or his home email which is RPL (Bob)

Here is some other info on the book:

MOPAR MUSCLE

CJ - The One and Only
1999 Black - PPROWLR 2002 Deep Candy Red - CJPROWLN

Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course!

I would do the $34 version and autographed (have passes for SEMA but unable to go) would be awsome ... could then get it from you during your next conjugal visit to the Rumbler or my next trip to MI in order to save on shipping and possible postal damage. Let me know how, what, where and when =)

I realize that you can most likely find the book cheaper than what their site says, but the issue is getting to Bob before he leaves Saturday morning. Again, we don't know what it will be selling for at the show.

I purchased four of the books for those that were interested. I'm waiting for the Reliable truck to drop off our vehicles from the SEMA Show. Ended up having to purchased a wheeled suitcase at the show to carry and safeguard them. Turns out that the books are eight pounds each! All were autographed as requested not just by the author but also the photographer. A small bonus.

Thank You for doing this; eight pounds each wow. Will get some cash to you once you confirm a total with shipping added. Probably cannot afford the handling and luggage charges.

Cars finally made it back to Detroit. The truck broke down and they had to send another to pick them up in Indiana.

Books made it just fine. That's the good news. I have Gordon's address but need those of:

Hi CJ & Bob

Check out pages 120 & 121 that's my 1969 ½ Roadrunner and engine – I was honored that Robert thought enough of the car to use it. The book really does a great job depicting the Mopar heritage.

Take care all
Joe Trotta
