The real ad is the Florida ad, (and its obvious when comparing the ads). It didn't sell last time up and I remember it because he also had a trailer sold separately. I emailed the seller in Florida tonight about this. Then I tried informing ebay, but they just referred me to a link to get a link to another link that would give me a link to the link I need. I'll let the seller link up with ebay...

Isn't that kinda like saying: "Most accidents happen at home, so I'm not going home"? I think it's ok to try E-Bay. Just do it carefully.

Maybe things have changed in the last three years but I bought my Prowler on ebay and was very happy with the whole experience. On the otherhand, I would never buy a car on ebay or from anywhere and send money without seeing teh vehicel and the proper paperwork.

Fortunately my car was only about 4 hours away and I hand carried a certifeid check and did not turn it over until I had the title and went to a bank to have the transaction notorized.

I've always had good luck selling my cars on Ebay, but got taken once on a scam for a Viper that I bought.

It had a custom paint job, custom intake and exhaust, and custom rims. I had the choice of this one in Boston, or one in McKinney, Tx., which were both going for the same amount of money. (Of course, I chose the customized one, which I found out later had been previously totaled).

The guy swore to me that the car had never had a scratch on it, and it had never been driven in the rain. (I believed him, because that's the condition of my Prowler.) I figured this guy treated his car, like I treat mine, so it seemed believable. Well, I ran the VIN number on CARFAX.com, AFTER I won it on Ebay, and found out it had been totaled, and had FOUR previous owners. Even if it hadn't been previously totaled, how would this guy possibly know if the car had ever been in the rain.

But, there was a happy ending, and to make me feel better, I bought a $10,000 73" Mitsubishi HDTV. (It helped ease the pain).
