...I am VERY glad I have them for my cars......it is a shame they are disappearing from the scene....without understanding what suppliers problems there were, it is difficult to analyze what might be done.....I just hope they make another run of them down the road...... ...Just a few months ago I called Norb and asked "SPECIFICALLY' if they would ever quit making them as I had a furure project in mind....he told me that they would produce them as long as there were orders for them.....then a week or so ago, I just happened to see the posting where they were going out of the parts business.....I called/emailed etc immediately and ordered another one(unpainted)..... ...about 15 years ago, I bought a car at a car show, JUST FOR THE WHEELS AND TIRES....I took the car home and swapped them with another Challenger T/A I owned and sold the car I had just purchased the next week.... |

quote: I sure remember that statement - must have been 3 or 4 weeks ago - I guess even Norb was "kept in the dark" about Metalcrafters decision to dissolve aftermarket parts production or he wouldn't have made such a 'confident' statement about it, but it SURE is a strange coincident that shortly after that statement this decision has been made by TGF ?!??! The WoodWard took us to dinner tonight with its black hard top in place. What a great look! It was a great evening, good weather, a great dinner and a wonderful evening with Mike. God Bless America!! |

I love the look of the hard top on a Prowler. It's my number 1 mod to put on the car. But,at 3 grand it's out of the question right now. I think there is a market for them as the cars get a little older and everybody gets done paying them off, That is what's stopping me. I don't want anymore expense until the car note is paid off. I sure hope somebody hangs onto that mold and offers them at a later date. It's a shame to just let that mod die. This message has been edited by tz1238 on 09-20-2004 at 05:01 PM |
