I'd like to thank all the Prowler Owners who attended the Prowler Dream Cruise 2004 event this past week. We had a fantastic turnout and we looked awesome cruising down Woodward in a group! I hope that all of you had as much fun participating as I did planning it. Thank you John Davies and Marc Scarbeary for suggesting this thing. Thank you for driving so far just to be here....and most of all, thanks for all the laughs!!! A thousand thank you's to Joe Trotta of DaimlerChrysler for giving us the best parking! We had our own car show. Joe was so excited about us being there and be a part of DC's display that he wants us to come back again next year and he's going to give us the same parking.....plus more!!! Thank you Joe Trotta, also, for bringing in DC-TV to film the cars. They will be making a DVD for me and I will be able to make copies for anyone who wants one! Thank you to the cop who let Marc off the hook! Thank you to the cop who blocked traffic for me on our way to the Conner Plant. Thank you to Scott Pinter, owner of The Aspen, where we had our Dream Cruise dinner. It was fantastic! Thank you to Zack Goodman, who trusted me with his new cat. I hope you had a blast!! A VERY special thanks to WildBill Simulcik, John Davies, Patty Cardwell, and Marc Scarbeary who helped me with a bunch of last minute things. ...and last but certainly not least........a HUGE thank you to my husband Bob, who (in spite of not being able to drive the RUMBLER - again) supported me in all my efforts leading up to this event, during the event and after (and keeping a smile on his face). Thanks for parking us, shuttling everyone back and forth and even letting me drive my Black Cat in the rain to cruise! Thanks for the helping hand to the owners and just being a great guy! Thanks Honey!!! There are lots of stories to tell and pictures to post. In the meantime, JD and Patty are still here. We took one last ride down Woodward........and are on our way soon to a car show and dinner this evening. They will be leaving tomorrow. Thanks everyone for putting up with me this week and making this the best Dream Cruise ever!!! Oh yeah........Joyce and Sylvia thank you all for spending over $9,000 at the CAAP store!! CJ - Thanks for all the planning for an "informal" event. Despite the drizzle most of the day Friday,we still got a couple of hours on Woodward that afternoon. The rest of the time just got better and better. Bob - Even in your disapointment ove the Rumbler, you were ever cheerful and sacrificed your time cruising to help with the various breakdowns and the all important parking so the rest of us could continue our good times - thank you. |

C.J. Thanks for putting this together, I had a great time. A little rain on Friday was not that bad, but the temperature on Saturday was perfect. The ear to ear smile on Zack {the new Prowler owner from Oakahoma} when he first laid eyes on his car at the detail shop, that most have been what we all looked like, on that special day. |

Sue and I brought some friends with us and we all had a great time.........Thank you CJ & Bob For anyone that has not been to an event that CJ has been responsible for, She is extremely organized and had packets for all of us with maps, directions & highlighted routes. This was the 4th cruise we have been to. The 1st we were on our own and didn't know what to expect. The next 2 we were in Pontiac and had reserved parking, nice but we were in Pontiac. The real action is at 13th & Woodward. This year we were about 2 blocks off Woodward at 13 Mile, It doesn't get much better than that. Sue had a total hip replacement on June 16th and has a small 3 wheel scooter to ride when she needs it. We felt that with the area we wanted to cover we needed it. CJ said there was not room for the Prowler trailer at the school so Bob took it in his Durango, unloaded it and drove it over for her at our car, now that is service........but what I want to know is how he can handle his Rumbler when her little scooter scared the bejebers out of him...........THANKS BOB CJ, I would like a copy of the CD from DC.........Thanks for another GREAT PROWLER EVENT |

Hi & Thanks to all, CJ/Bob. Great to see some people we already knew, and fantastic to finally press the flesh with other folks we feel we already know as well. A great time.... Woodward is beyond compare to any other event I have been to, or likely ever will be fortunate enough to attend. Eleanor and I had a wonderful time. We DID manage to catch the fast boat home.. and that was quite the ride/time saver! Enjoyed. Bob... Always a Pleasure... give me a buzz sometime. Post some pics WildBill!

Oh man was it fun!!!! Right now I'm sitting in a Kinko's in Lincoln Nebraska, just finished dinner and will head to Denver tomorrow. CJ and Bob, Thank you just isn't enough. Car cleaning supplies including lunch, racing fuel, tire shop, all the organization, and of course the midnight ride in the Rumbler and a couple of days of being our personal tour guides. John and I arrived Monday night at 7, unloaded our bags and headed for Woodward without even cleaning the bugs off our windshields. Kid in a candy store ring a bell? I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. We cruised Woodward both day and night for 6 days. You can't imagine what 30,000 cars and 1.5 million people are like until you experiance it. Spending some time with friends and meeting new ones made it a memorable week. Thanks to Marty for the call this evening, and Bob and Coleen for the directions that helped me miss the Michigan Speedway traffic, Genotex, Bob Goetz and Marty for some fun racing, even though I ran out of nitrous Friday night. John, thanks for helping me to shift into vacation mode on the drive out and to Patty for babysitting JD and I. Oh yeah and for some fantastic cruising and racing on Woodward (at least until Wednesday night. Sorry we couldn't make the return trip together but give me a call if you pass through Denver on your way home. Again, thanks CJ for turning John's and my trip into an event that everyone could enjoy. ------------------ |

I made it in a little while ago. 10 & 1/2 hours. It was worth every mile!!!! Just unloaded the Kat and put it back in the warehouse and stopped by my office. Decided to check the POA before giong home to bed. CJ, thanks again for all that you did to assure us of such a wonderful time. IT WAS GREAT!!!!! As I told you before I left.... I will be back next year. Thanks also for arranging the shopping at the CAAP store, the Walter P . Chrysler tour, And ESPECIALLY the trip to "Harolds" to see his cars, I'm still drooling!!!! Thank you Bob for all that you did behind the scenes, as well as the deeds that we observed, in spite of your disapointment of another "Rumbler" bug, which did not allow you to cruise in your car. You are always "Johnny on the spot" to take care and make sure others are not left on the sidelines. I have watched you in action since my first POA event in the Smokies. We are all very lucky, to have a friend like you. WildBill, Dave & Brenda, Gene& Iris, Roman& Matthew, Marty & Rebecca, Ron, RealRod Bob, all of my other old friends who attended, it was great to see all of you again. To all of my new friends, who I met for the first time, I hope to see you again soon. To my ole buddy, Mike Gatlin..I'm glad you made it too. To those who did not make it; all I can say is this was a "BLAST", and this should definately be on your schedule of events to attend next year. Again, Thank you CJ and Bob, for your generous hospitality, and opening up your home to us. Jim |

We left the hotel at 11 AM and drove down Woodward. Not a whole lot going on but it was still very enjoyable. A cop pulled up next to me in Royal (Oak?) and put down his window and said, "nice day for a cruise home, huh?". I told him we had a great time. This seemed to be a lot more fun than when we were there in 2001 due mostly to the much better location. Everyone seemed to be pretty laid back and no one got upset if the plan got changed slightly at the last minute. We had plenty of free time to do what we wanted and the weather was outstanding other than the Friday afternoon grey skies and light rain. Saturday's weather was perfect. About 70, no humidity, very slight breeze and barely a cloud in the sky. We had great seats just north of 13th on Woodward. The meals were good, unhurried, no waiting and we were off to ourselves as a group most of the time. I finally got to meet Joe Elseasser, who is a GM at one of the local Detroit dealerships. I won't mention everyone there who is was great to see. We had not seen Sue Mayes for quite awhile so it was good to see her getting around fairly well. The only scary thing was when Kevin from Gahanna,OH told me his son, Daniel, was there and was anxious to meet me since he reads all my posts. I thought that bordered on child abuse. lol. I won the bet with RPL on who would get arrested first, JD or Marc. I said JD was more mature, changed that to "older" and bet on Marc. Three blocks later, I was the winner. I got Marc out of the ticket when I told the cop it was the sixth time Marc had gotten stopped that day. lol. It feels good to help out friends in a pinch, so to speak. Thanks CJ. It was special. Very relaxing and a ton of fun. P.S. Tell Harvey I have a Prowler. |

Everyone has said what needs to be said. Bob and CJ are a CLASS ACT. How could you not have fun. CJ put me down for a DVD. If you do it again we will be there. Bob thanks for working on my car (and dinner)! Great memories. The cars and cruisin was fun but like at every Prowler event - it was meeting the great prowler owners. |

All I can say is WOW......it was a blast. The fact that we kept all the cars together in a cruise down Woodward with all the traffic was a task in itself. Let's see... CJ...tahnks for making this great event come together very succesfully Bob(RPL)....tahnks for fixing my flat tire on the open trailer(or else I'd still be in Michigan) To my old gang with whom I spent most of the few days(Bob Goetz,Meancat,Ron,Marty Usher along with Rebecca and Lindsay,Uncle Dave Mills,Gene and Iris Scoggins and it goes on)it was great spending those sleepless nights with ya! And the people I met for the first time....John Davies-the car is simply SPECTACULAR,Marc Scarbearry...I've got some awesome shots I'll post this week,Larry(Tangled),we gotta sit down over dinner sometime and talk cars....just no trivia! We plaied poker till the wee hours of the morning and I've never had so much fun in a long time.....thanks for your suggestion Geno-Tex(great meeting you also). Jim Reese...we'll explore that suggestion for the event further.......now it's back to the grind once again. See y'all soon! ------------------ |

Brenda and I want to add our thanks to CJ and Bob. It was great seeing our old friends and meeting new ones. For those of you that have never been, this event is a "must". Rain (for at least one day) seems to be the standard at this year's outings, but it really makes no difference. We are glad we finally made it to Woodward. |

Thank you very much. The cruise was excellent. Never knew buy a Prowler yet a whole bunch on new friends for free. Now who set me up and stuck me with Ed at dinner. Hi All – I just wanted to send a short note of thanks to all of the members that attended the Woodward Dream cruise event. When I originally talked with CJ about doing something like this I had no idea how great it would have turned out. I just knew it would be something special. Well I have to say you guys really exceeded my wildest expectations. Seeing the front of the Shrine High school packed with Prowlers was a sight to behold. I can't tell you how many people that used the parking lot came up to me and commented on how great it looked. I was glade to be able have a photographer form our Advertising agency (BBDO) come over and take a few pictures. He’s going to furnish me a CD of all the pictures he took of our display so as soon as I get it Ill make sure CJ gets one as well. I’m anxious to see just how much of the DCtv piece on the cruise will feature the Prowlers – and CJ you did a GREAT interview. Well the only way I can end this note is simply to thank each of you from all of us at DCX but especially from me so THANK YOU ALL and lets plan on doing this again next year!!! Joe Trotta |

CJ First of all I give you a big Thank You! I know you did a lot for John and I, in which it is truly appreciated. I got home around 6pm. The plane was late getting in. John is still on the road, tomorrow night he will stay over in Rawlins Wy. I just got done talking to him and he said the car is running good, and that he will post when he gets home. We had a wonderful time and Bob the car show on Sunday was GREAT! OMG! You guys should have stayed around a bit longer. We saw some really good burn outs hehe! CJ thank you for taking me back and forth to the airport, and keeping me company until my plane came in. And to all you kats I met this weekend it was a great pleasure. I am looking forward to seeing all of you and more next year, that's if I can talk John into going HAHA! CJ I will be in touch soon. Smiles.....Patty |

I think that since John and Marc started this, the least they can do is show up next year.......it wouldn't be the same without you both. Talk to you soon! |
