In a email from Curtis' daughter Amanda: I just talked to my dad actually just moments ago,,,,,,,, He is at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA (4West, Room 12). It appears he will probably be there at least through Tuesday. They really don't have any answers as to what is ailing him yet. They have run tons of blood work and all his counts are low, red blood cells, white blood cells and the platelets. Due to this his immune systems seems to be failing. The hematologist said it could be any number of things causing this and he wants to do a bone-marrow test and a spinal tap on Monday to check for things like Lymphoma. They are also considering things like Lyme disease, something called Valley Fever, West Nile Virus, etc., pretty much anything they can think of in order to rule it out. He sounds tired but he is alert. He is glad that he finally went to the hospital and is finally getting some answers (or will be shortly) as to what the problem may be. May turn out to be some crazy virus he picked up, we just don't know. ********************************************************* Amanda, Thanks for the update and I'm sure I speak for all of us at the POA, our prayers and thoughts will continue to be with your father every day.
