Just a note to offer trailer parking for your Prowler trailer during Woodward. The downside is that we are about 40 Miles North East of the epicenter of what's happening. I've been told that parking on Woodward is at a premium & that trailers would only add to the problem. No one wants to leave their trailer at the Motel, right? Carol & I will extend the offer to all if you choose to unload your trailer at your motel & then bring it up to Port Huron (freeway, all the way). We extend our backyard (no dogs or kids here)and it's ALWAYS monitored by great neighbors. We should have room for about 20+ trailers. Just trying to help. Ed Weichsler |

Thanks for the offer, but I did not realize there was a problem leaving the trailers at the hotel. At all the previous events we have attended we simply either chain the trailer to a light post or to another trailer. |

Marty... I'm not sure if he's talking about the "Prowler trailer"... or if you 'trailer' your prowler to Woodward... I think the latter.... |

There is NO problem with leaving your Prowler trailers or car haulers at the Homestead hotel. There is plenty of room and it is a very safe area. The hotel says they have plenty of room. |

I want to leave today to go to Detroit but I don't have permission either. Bad timing for out of town company staying at our house. I'll have to settle for cruising to Wildcat's house in Indinapolis later today. I need to drop off my trailer wheels I sold to Frank Peri for Larry & Sue to transport so we will have room for luggage in our trailer. |

I told Ron to get out, before Cnote and Stonecold changes their mind.In fact I told him he would be better off in Moddersville for the week.So I guess he's on his way.No control freaks here.(Ron can do what ever he want, as long as I agree) ------------------ This message has been edited by meancat on 08-15-2004 at 12:36 PM |

quote: CJ, Guess you heard wrong information then, maybe you should look at the source who told you that. Chris is a grown man and can go anywhere he wants, he doesn't need my "permission". He was told there was no room for a 3 car trailer and that is why he is not attending. Kevin Thomas(Stone Cold) was going to attend also and he is not going for the same reason. Hope you all have a great time! Christy |

Sorry, Christy, didn't mean to offend you, but that was what the driver of the 3-car trailer told me. I told him there wasn't room in the hotel parking lot for that size trailer but I was sure we could find somewhere else. So, looks like we are both getting wrong information. I'm sorry that Chris and Kevin aren't coming, based on the misinformation. |

I heard they were not coming since there were no adults coming with them, to supervise them. That is just what I heard, I didn't SAY it. lol |

Oh boy, have I added to the confusion! My intent was to be hospitable to those who didn't want to leave their PROWLER trailers at the hotel. The offer to house those is STILL valid. Sorry for any misunderstanding. Ed |

quote: Ed - it is a nice offer on your part. Personally, since my car is a daily driver and I have hauled the trailer well over 20,0000 miles and have a sepaerate insurance policy on it and it's contents, I'll just keep it at the hotel. There may be some that would prefer a more secure area. Marty ------------------ |

Thanks Ed, but I will keep my trailer at the hotel. We usually keep it close by and just chain a couple of them together if necessary. |

Christy - you and Chris should hop in that Lambo doored Purple Prowler of yours and drive up here on Tuesday then we can drive to Detroit on Wednesday. Drag Mr. and Mrs. Stone Cold with you! |

Ed........I certainly appreciate your offering to store the Prowler trailers. If anyone wants to tow their Prowler trailer on Woodward, you can do that. As far as I'm concerned, that will be a real pain, especially when there are 40,000+ cars trying to get down Woodward. I wouldn't bother to take mine out. If you do choose to do that, you will NOT be able to park at 13 and Woodward. DC said NO trailers. Sorry. Unfortunately, Ed, your thread almost makes it sound like the hotel is not in a secure area and that it might be risky to leave them there. This is NOT the case. The hotel will keep an eye on them and in addition, the Auburn Hills Police Department is right across the street from the hotel. |

Just to add to the confusion, I did not say any of that stuff. lol. Except I did say that CNote and Ron should not be allowed to attend without adult supervision. Meancat does not even come close to my description of adult or supervision. lol. |

Ed, I am with you on that one. I would volunteer to babysit them, but you could not pay me enough. I was hoping Christy was coming. Would of been great to see her at Woodward. Kim ------------------ |

Kim, I was hoping Christy was coming but leaving Chris at home!! She is the better driver as we all know and she looks waaaaaaay better than him in a swimsuit, even while pregnant. I Don't ask how I know. I just do. Trust me on that one. Ditto, I was hoping you were coming without Jerry. lol |

Just got in. Interesting "comments". Christy was right, I was going to go with Chris and Ron but was told by the owner of the three car trailer that there would be no room to park the trailer once we got there. I'm in a very similar situation(and like it that way) Chris is in. Married, business to run, obligations,"control freak"?????? etc. It would have been a great road trip. |
