How did you like ordering your eggs at the breakfast buffet at the Cruisin Canada hotel? That woman was a tough cookie. The first morning I ordered scrambled eggs. When they were ready she said put plate here. I held out my plate but she pointed to the counter with her spatula, meaning put it there. The next morning I ordered scrambled again. She said fried eggs. I said scrambled. She just looked at me so I took the fried eggs. We started to refer to her as the "Egg Nazi". No eggs for you. Next.
One guy was afraid to get his eggs so he had a waitress get them. She was fun to watch,I had fried eggs the rest of the week.lol

She called me "Ma'am" and Sandy "Sir" the first morning. We decided she probably did not speak English.
She was definitely a treat.

Speaking of the hotel, I can't find my bill. I was going to try to get back the hotel tax along with the rest of it. What was the tax per day? We stayed 6 nights. I was thinking I may call and ask for a duplicate bill.

She remembered me from the first day. Each day she would see me and say "3 eggs sir?"

How do we get tax back?

There is a tax form for us furriners to fill out. They do that in Europe, also. I got the form, but not the ORIGINAL Bill. I do have gas receipts, etc.

I just sent for my refund today. The form indicates they will only accept originals. Ed, a duplicate on the Delta letterhead should probably work. My refund is $50.56.

I always looked forward to the egg lady. Though she might have been the Egg Nazi, she sure cooked fast and kept the line moving.

We didn't have any problems with her. We had scrambled eggs every morning and she was very polite to us.

I did not have a problem with her but I did see her give some other people the evil eye when they did not put their plate in the perfect spot. I had an omelet every day. No Problem other than calling me Ma'am and Sandy, "Sir"

Don't get me wrong. I didn't have a problem with her. She just reminded us of the Soup Nazi on Sienfeld. She was fun to watch in action.

I just looked at the tax rebate form. No gas or food consumed in Canada qualifies. Each receipt has to be original and for at least $ 50. If you bought goods you had to have them inspected at the border and the receipt validated.
They will keep $ 9 as a processing fee and another $ 2 for postage.
I never did get a new receipt. I guess it is probably not worth the effort.
