Specifications for the Aluminum Hitch... 65 lbs. tongue weight MAX and 600 lbs. pulling capacity MAX. Remember that this is designed for the Prowler (similar) Tag Along Trailer and nothing more. Also, even though the trailer and its contents may weigh more than 600 lbs. the wheels offer a mechanical advantage to significantly reduce the actual pulling weight and a pivot point reducing the tongue weight, so it would be doubtful if either specification would be a concern. I have been producing these hitches for 3 years and never a failure when properly used... NO stump pulling! Additionally regarding the installation... if you are going to use the Real Rod "Weekender" there is no need to drill any holes in the frame, however if you are planning to pull a Prowler Tag Along Trailer, it is recommended that 2 supplemental mounting holes be drilled in the bottom of the frame. Of course printed instructions are included and we offer a toll free support line (800 669 3540) if you need assistance during the installation. Would you like a copy of the instructions FAXed to you? Best wishes, Jay PS... This fully polished |
