Karen & I had a terrific time. . Thanks to Frank Peri and all the other members of the Canadian Prowler Team (Wayne F., Brian K., Roman G., Bob T., Momo M., Don M., Jim B. John M., Grant M., Darren N., Jim K., & Dan W. and your spouses along with whomever I may have missed ...) who planned, coordinated and led us around. From the agenda, mementos, The National TV coverage and Group Picture arranged by Roman, the art work by Momo & Teddy, all the memorable tours, the Special Tours arranged by Jim Kenney (RM Classic Cars & the Chrysler Brampton Plant - home of the 300C & Magnum - where we saw things we Didn't see ...), and once in a life time experiences. A very Special Thanks to Darren for going out of his way to get my front end aligned and Wayne for chaufering me back & forth. Terrific People, Terrific Event, Wonderful Memories and honored to have met more of our Canadian Friends who went out of their way to make us feel Welcome. And, we met a few new American Friends from the USA as well.

I'll post my pictures on return to Louisiana mid August. We've made it to Patterson, NY for next leg of our trip. We hope to see some of you at the New Jersey Race Track events on Fri & Sat Aug 6th & 7th...

Thanks again to our Canadian hosts for a Top Notch, First Class Event... Here's a few shots...

While setting up for the group shot..

A group of young kids were also taking a tour and when they saw the Prowlers they started cheering Prowler, Prowler ... WildBill & Jerry only had 15 diecast Prowlers with them and gave them to the kids. Actually to the leader, who would have to decide how to distribute to the 30 kids... Just shows the warm side of the great Prowler people... Nice Jerry & WildBill...

Here's the Five Star Bus Technician trying to get our 1st Tour bus to start... Didn't work and had to get replacement bus...

This is what happens when you Don't Duck... on the bus tour around Toronto...

There were some low hanging braches...

Here's shot of Toronto skyline from the SS Minnow on our dinner cruise Tues night..

Linda, Jane & Karen at our lunch stop after cruisin the backroads of Ontario on Wed.

Laddie and Karen - Thanks for the report and pics! Gosh, sounds like that Magnum/300 plant was one tour I would have liked to have seen.

I'm not so sure Ed forgot to duck,,,,that was a disguise. There are many "WANTED" posters of him in Canada from his younger days Something about unpaid child support payments, lol. Anyway, he looks better with his new hair.

This was my first event and I had a blast. Thanks to all those who spent endless hours planning and setting things up.

I met so many people that until now were only names on the website. Ed & Sandy, Tom & Linda, Gene, Laddie, Frank, Jerry(aka Jeff lol), Cj & Bob, Roman, Frank, Brian, John Martins, Momo, Wayne, Jim and many more whos names I can't recall at this moment. (I'm usually terrible at names anyhow)

The bus trip was priceless, the cruises great (Brian showed us places HE has never seen LOL), The wedding was the best show I've ever been to.

I will be sure to be at the next one!

Here's a few more shots.

On Tuesday morning, the National TV coverage was outstanding... Actually, more Prowler owners from the Toronto area stopped by after seeing the coverage on TV. This was Live TV filming and interviews ...

Here's Gene being interviewed...

Here's Wayne being interviewed ...

Here's Marla on TV. Marla was one of three Lady Prowler Owners attending the event...

Bob Talbot's daughter being interviewed live on Good Morning Canada... She did great...

Not sure of total live segments... either four or six filmed during the two hour show...

Here's the mother & grandmother of the bride from the Thursday night 2nd City Dinner Theater Italian Wedding on the left...

Uncle Louie from the Italian Wedding party...

I too would like to thank everyone who put the event together. I was only able to attend two day events
but enjoyed all the evening events. My fav would have to
have been the drag racing in Shanonville. Does anybody have
any pictures of that event.

I cannot believe all the things we did in only 5 days. The price of the the registration must have only covered 20 percent of the cost. It was another great Prowler event. Look for my Top 10 lines in another post. I don't want to take away from Laddie's intent on this thread. Frank and Wayne put in a tremendous amount of time and effort. They had a lot of help but they did the bulk of it. Jim Kenney pulled off a couple of magic tricks with the RM tour, the Chrysler plant tour and watching Yosemite Sam do his thing.
Thanks to all the guys who made it a great week. We had a ball, as usual.

Al. I hope someone has pics of Bob L. as our starter with flags. This was drag racing the old fashion way. The track didn't have the electronics setup (only on dedicated drag racing weekends). So, we did it the old fashion way. We had cones at the 1/8 & 1/4 mile marks. Bob used the track supplied flags for the start line. So, it was heads up - no bracket racing...

Another interesting feature was the hot laps on the road course. This track is setup to run in the opposite direction as most US & CA tracks. You drove around clockwise... There's a Ferrari Driving school and garage near this course. And, Mercedes had a Driving school that day on the drag strip & road course we used.

Here's a couple of pics Al.

Our arrival in Shannonville after 3 hour drive.

Another shot along the grandstands. There were a large number of Go-karts using one of the tracks.

Shannonville tower.

Here's Gene & me...

I was the one who was drag racing the gentleman who had his car in reverse! It was quite a shock when the flag was lowered and he went in the wrong direction. Glad it wasn't me! I guess he was over the line a hair and when he put it in reverse he forgot to put it in drive he was so excited!

Event was a blast.....what a great bunch of people. Even the rain can't keep smiles off the faces of the cat owners. My own highlights were the crowds in Niagara-on-the-Lake (felt like we were in a parade), the racing, cruising the hills of Caledon, and the views of the new Dodge Charger with the 6.1 Hemi engine that we are supposed to say we didn't see.

Here's some pics from the RM Classic Cars tour to go along with the comments from Ed in the event discussion area...

By Ed ...
"Jim Kenney pulled a few strings and got us into the Chrysler plant where they make the 300's and will be making the Chargers next year. That was impressive. He also took us to RM, where they restore cars, fix up the interior of Lear jets and conduct auctions of very high end cars. That was unbelievable. Craftsmen at their finest. The best tour I have ever been part of, in my life. Some of the cars were in the $ 5 million dollar range. One guy was cutting alligator skins to fix door panels. Four alligators at $ 550 each just for the doors. Another 14 skins for the seats. They had put 1150 hours of labor into that car, so far. It was going to go to the Concours de Elegance at Pebble Beach. It was awesome, to say the least. The do everything and anything in their shops. Metal work, paint, machine shop, interiors on nice cars. They restored a '31 Chrysler at a cost of $ 100,00 and the car is now worth $ 30,000 but the family wanted it restored to give it to a very elderly relative who had bought it new. It was better than new, I am sure.
Thanks guys. Great job. We had a blast."

Here's one of the $4 tp $5 million $$ cars...

In the shop area of RM

Here's the alligator skins & the wood panel for door inserts... This is the car that has the 1,150 hours into the restoration...

Sentimental Restoration... This car belongs to a gentlemen who will be celebrating his 83 B-Day. He was the original owner and car was stored in a shed for over 50 years... His kids decided to have it restored to original and surprise their Dad for his 83rd B-Day. Restoration around $100K and car will only be worth $30 to $40K. And, it won't go over 35 mph. Nice show of affection...

Another restoration...

Garage shop area...

The modeling area where they will build a plug to ensure they have the right fit for panels...

Great pics, Laddie. Thanks.
How about the group of about 60 to 70 people posing in front of the floral clock at Niagara Falls. We drove into the parking lot and they are all hollering at the professional photographer. He couldn't figure out what was going on. Finally he looked back, saw us, turned the tripod and camera and the crowd cheered him for taking our picture instead of theirs. Priceless.

On the wooden frame car, the "piece of wood" that is the top line of the rear fender is actually a whole bunch of pieces of 3/4" plywood cut into 4 inch squares and then screwed, nailed or glued together. What looks like one board is actually about 200 pieces of wood. Unreal.
