Feel free to give me a call @ 800 669 3540 for any questions regarding this installation.

I offer a Fully Polished Aluminum hitch to match the Aluminum Frame for the Prowler that installs just like the original MOPAR, so regardless of which one you install, I will be glad to help.

As for the wiring harness... save yourself a lots of time and trouble and order one from the Dealer.

My usual disclaimer regarding my ALL Aluminum Hitch... it recommended that it NOT be used to pull up stumps and other similar tasks... this will void the warranty.

Best wishes, Jay

The hitch comes with instruction and pictures (cause they knew Ed would be installing one himself too). Let us know if you find any signatures when apart.

After install your hitch, go to U-Hail deler in your area, they have all the wiring harness you need or let the install it for you cost about $35.00 included parts.

I installed one myself. It is not that big of a deal other than the fact that you have to drill a 1 1/2" hold in both sides of the rear frame. It hurts to drill into your car. I think there is some photos on the site already. It is not technically hard to do the job. The instructions are pretty good that come with the hitch.

Specifications for the Aluminum Hitch... 65 lbs. tongue weight MAX and 600 lbs. pulling capacity MAX. Remember that this is designed for the Prowler (similar) Tag Along Trailer and nothing more.

Also, even though the trailer and its contents may weigh more than 600 lbs. the wheels offer a mechanical advantage to significantly reduce the actual pulling weight and a pivot point reducing the tongue weight, so it would be doubtful if either specification would be a concern.

I have been producing these hitches for 3 years and never a failure when properly used... NO stump pulling!

Additionally regarding the installation... if you are going to use the Real Rod "Weekender" there is no need to drill any holes in the frame, however if you are planning to pull a Prowler Tag Along Trailer, it is recommended that 2 supplemental mounting holes be drilled in the bottom of the frame.

Of course printed instructions are included and we offer a toll free support line (800 669 3540) if you need assistance during the installation.

Would you like a copy of the instructions FAXed to you?

Best wishes, Jay

PS... This fully polished hitch is show quality and enhances the installation.
