I need a Short Runner Valve also known as an SRV Valve for a 99 Prowler. Can be found on page 14-37 figure 26 of the Service and Diagnostic Procedures Manual for 97 & 99 Prowlers. Mounts on the top front of the Air Plenum. Also need air plenum support brackets. Two small front (90 degree angle) brackets and two rear brackets. These can be found on page 11-15 fgures 6, 7 & 8. I am having diffculty locating parts locally I am having our air plenum custom painted and want the valve to paint purple. I need the brackets to have chrome plated. Will purchase if necessary, but would like to work out an exchange so I won't have any down time waiting for the parts to be plated and painted. I would need them for about 2 to 3 weeks. Need ASAP. It opens at wide open throttel to distribute fuel to the short runners on the intake, more evenly distributing fuel to the cylinders. |

Rich - I seen an Intrepid today with a 3.5L with no SRV valve in the front of the plenum. Instead, there is a cheapo block off plate in it's place. I would think that this is a cheap part new, or you can pick one up from a junk yard for a buck or two to put on your cat temporally while you have the SRV valve painted. As long as you are just driving cruising speeds, don't think it is needed. JMO |

Yea Alley, I decided to do that today. I am going to take it off during the week while the Cat is parked at home while I am at work. Eddie Powell is going to paint it for me. I still need to find the support brackets however because they will be at the chrome shop for 2 to 3 weeks. This message has been edited by BeWare on 07-27-2004 at 04:55 PM |

Maybe Marty or Dan Garcia (RBADCAT) have those extra brackets you are looking for? Might email them,,,maybe they haven't read your post? Good luck. |

Dean had a pile of plenums and plenum parts the last time I was in Junction. Maybe give him a call? |
