Well, this topic is posted soley to let me vent a little.

This morning, I'm cruising down a local major road, when a pick-up truck comming the opposite way decides to turn in front of me as I approach the intersection. I'm going 50 in a 55. I had to slam on the brakes, and crank the wheel to the left. I missed him by only inches, as I didn't even stop before I crossed his path... The Kitty made the most horrific noise as it dragged the rear end down the road. The smell of burnt rubber filled the air, and quite frankly scared the Sh*t out of me, as I looked down I could see I was visibly shaking.

After a few seconds to figure out exactly where I landed (spun completely around) I pulled over to the side, and got out. The other driver was simply driving away !! I, being VERY upset, chased him down on foot, and was about to yank his dumb *ss out of the truck, when I saw he had a little boy (about 1 year old) standing on his lap !!

While I have no problem being an *ss under most conditions, I could not beat this guy senseless with his kid watching. I did however tell him that he almost killed me, and while I expect an idiot like him couldn't give a damn about me, he could have killed his kid also...
I let him know that his kid is the only thing that saved is *ss on this day.

Then comes the good part. He said "I didn't see you" !

So, a warning to all. This guy didn't see a Gold Prowler, on a sunny day, on a straight road, at 100 feet away. You all should probably consider selling any auto's you own that are harder to see than a Prowler.

Sorry for venting, but I had to...

Regards, and please be safe out there,

Dr. Mike

Dali,
WOW! Sounds like a close call! Glad you're alright... Some people are just oblivious to the world.

I am a very calm person, however... I would have beaten his dumb*ss just for having his infant son standing in his lap. Obviously he doesn't care about the safety of his own son since he did not have him in a child safety seat; so you should have showed the little tike just how big a dumb*ss his pop really is.

Just unreal!
Hear stories like this more and more.He is careless enough not to pay attention to the road but having a small child on his lap is very smart indeed.... did he also have a few empty beer cans in the back seat as well?

Dali- Maybe the KID was driving.....
Really, be sure to check your tires to see if they have been "flat spotted". You might have an insurance claim.....

Holy Cow is right! Glad to hear your alright Mike. I've had idiots pull similar stunts. I've never pulled anybody out of their car but I sure have wanted to. A quick call to the cops to report the child seatbelt violation and his stupid driving can cost the loser some cash in fines, might make him think twice next time. Anyway, glad to hear you and Picasso are alright!

Dali,

Glad you're okay! Your story reinforces the importance of dumb people not reproducing themselves. That poor child has at least half of this idiot's DNA. Since mom (or girlfriend) was stupid enough to couple with the moron, she too is probably of poor genetic stock. In 15 or 20 years it will be that slack-jawed little cretin saying, "I didn't see you" to one of his betters.

If you're inferior, use birth control or simply abstain from sex. Have a vasectomy or hysterectomy or tubal ligation just to be certain. If you're a bad driver, always remember: "Read...don't breed."

Perhaps you should get yourself a yellow Kat! Kidding aside ... back in '85 friend of mine had a bright red Corvette coupe at the time, was stopped at a red light and a woman plowed right into the back of him ... said "I didn't see you ..." He, like you Dali, would ahve pulverizewd her but instead said, "Fine, you didn't see ME, what about the Fing Red Light I was sopped at ... didn't see THAT either?" People are funny ... and sad at the same time. Glad you and the car are OK.

Isnen't it amazing that there's enough room in the DNA chain for these people. I would have hoped that the gene pool had dried up on them but mother nature still wins every time. The very best statement about these types is that they have the intellectual prowess of a soap dish and of course if there really bad it's a soap dish doily. Maybe a lot of flashing lights and a siren would help them "see you " better. Keep on prowling, Obi-Wan

Thanks for all the input guys/gals. Didn't want to upset everyone else, but had to blow off steam.

As far as idiots breeding, my thoughts go like this:

In nature, since the beginning of time, the animal stock has been thinned by a term called "survival of the fitest". Evolution, over time, has allowed the smart, powerful, or most willing to adapt, to succeed and live, while the lessers have died out. Our civilizations have stopped this process by creating laws that in effect protect the idiots. You know, "killing is wrong, illeagal". That is what keeps the in the gene pool. If we could have just one month to get rid of all the idiots, *ssholes, rude, and weak, we would wind up in the end as nature had intended.

In this theory, I do not mean to single out any race, religion, national orgin, etc. I just think all the jerks of this world should be put down. Maybe the GOV. could issue limit tags that allow each of us to take out 3 individuals.

Gotta go now, gotta make my list...

Regards,

Dr. Mike

Little difficult to see you or any other vehicle with a child standing in your lap blocking the view!!

How totally irresponsible with regard to having a child in the car without being in a child restraint seat.

I was coming home from work one evening. Houston rush hour traffic. Stop and go traffic on the freeway. Lots of people cutting over and stuff. This car in front of me is kind of weaving. Not like they are drunk really, more like steering with your knees, or just not paying attention. I decided I wanted past this idiot, and as I passed, I looked over at her. She had a kid, no more than 2 years old, in her lap, and the kid was steering the car. Her hands were completely off the wheel!

Which do you think costs more: repairing the above damage or purchasing a pack of generic birth control pills?

Along the same lines, my wife and I had a good laugh yesterday. We were driving down the road in the Prowler when we saw a sign that said "left lane closed ahead." We remained in the right lane, of course, but we were astonished to see every car in front of us shift into the left lane! A few seconds later, as the left lane started running out, some faint spark of neurochemical activity in the frontal lobes of the drivers in front of us finally caused the line of vehicles in front of us to move back into the right lane. My wife and I looked at each other as if to say, "I wonder if birth control medicine can be sprayed from planes?"

Dali, That's an everyday thing here in Florida. Most of the drivers wouldn't see you in a tractor/trailer..LOL I've never seen such bad drivers in my life until I moved here. I've been rearended 3 times in 7 1/2 years (not in my Kat). One driver fell asleep at the wheel at a red lite and rolled into me. Just had to vent my feelings about some of the drivers here!!!

That was one of the biggest changes I noticed when we moved FROM Florida to Texas. The drivers here are really much better for the most part. But unfortunately, every once and awhile, some idiot driver still amazes us here. Didn't think to look at the guys plate the other day, might have been visiting form Florida....

Personally, I think everyone should be given an IQ test while getting their drivers license. 140 and above should have their insurance paid by the state as we are not a risk, 100-130 should be required to carry insurance, but are smart enough to drive responsibly, and below 100 should be given a little handlebar bell to put on the bicycles they must ride...

Oh, it's gonna be another perfectly wretched day...

Regards to all,

Maverick1--

I didn't notice before that you're from New Port Richey.

We have some rental properties in Spring Hell, Fl... Timber Pines Development to be exact. Yeah, I know what you mean. Those old farts drive across the highway to get to Wallmart in their GOLFCARTS !! I personally had to help an old man out of his cart after he ran off the road and into one of the developments lakes !! God I hate that place ! Mean, horrible, old grouchy, cuss's. Only have to go down there when there is something really important that needs to be done, like replace carpet after someone dies.....

Hey, I'm already going to Hell, just working on good seats now.

Ok, we're never gonna get to limit the idiots of the world, and there is just going to be more and more now that everything in the universe is "idiot proofed". We just need to overwhelm them with a high IQ DNA bomb. All of us with an IQ of higher than say, 130, should have 8 more kids than they would normally have. Over time this would raise the world's average IQ. Then we could get some of these superkids to start up Prowler production again!

Just an idea...
