(See my post under classified "Wanted to buy a Prowler")

First to all that responded to my previous post I thank you for your support, input and offers. There are some very nice Cats out there.

I purchased a 2001 Mulholland with 2800 miles on it in my price range. (PM me if you want to know what I paid-I don't want to publish it on an open forum.)
Those that said to be patient the right Cat will come along were right.

The funny thing is I purchased from a private party not 5 miles away from my house.

The Cat is entirely stock and is in excellent condition.

Now some questions if you all do not mind:
1) I would like to put the chrome tape on the grill. Can anyone direct me to the post or tell me what to use?
2) Who do we call for parts now at a good price? I would like to get the 2 sending units for the trans (as spares) and mud flaps.

I'd like to tell more but I can't wait to go for a ride so...Thanks again to All for your advice and support when I was looking.
Mikee

PS If this Cat is as much fun as it was on the way home I want one in every color Ha Ha.

Congratulations Mikee.
1.You will have to send Alley Cat $10 for the grill secret. I think he owns the patent.
2. You might have a broken cap. Replacements can be had.
3. Find a good dealer near you or check out Bruce Hazelton (SP), his dealership offers excellent prices.
The mods can be seen at all the events. You will love this whole prowler experience. We sure do.

Congrats on your new kat!!

You can buy chrome door edge guard for the grill at Pep Boys or AutoZone for around $10.00 for 25 feet. (be sure to get door edge, not body side moulding)

Do a search for the MadMax center cap treatment to hot glue the center caps. Or your car should be under a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty if the inservice date is lerss than 3 years old. They may be covered.

Bruce is no longer with teh DC dealer in Wisconsin so for now you may want to check with Jeff@RHJeep - see the post in General Discussion totled life after Bruce Hazelton.

Have fun driving and post often!

Congrats Mikee. You can get the input and output tranny sensors at NAPA car parts stores. TSS 100 and TSS 200 are the part numbers. Thanks Larry Wildcat Mayes for finding that info.

mikeylikesit - CONGRATS on the new ride!!!

Now some questions if you all do not mind:
1) I would like to put the chrome tape on the grill. Can anyone direct me to the post or tell me what to use?

Go to any auto parts store and select the size of chrome door edge molding you will want on your grill.
Remove and wash grill,,,let dry.
Starting from the bottom, measure and cut molding to length of each grill vane "plus" 1/4" or so.
When they are all cut, use a hair dryer/blower to warm up the pieces to make more flexible,,,,,don't overheat or cook them. One at a time.

Pull off tape and install,,,,,one at a time.

Stand back and admire your new ALLEY CAT CHROME GRILL TREATMENT SYSTEM. Take pictures!!! Show the neighbors!!!
Send me $10.00 for the one time user fee for this application. Remember, its registered and patented. Email me for my mailing address for the payment.

Thanks again for using the AC Chrome Grill Treatment System

Mikee, congratulations on your new cat.
I am just over the hill in Simi Valley, so if there is any thing I can help you with don't be shy in giving me a holler.
If you need help with putting on the ceramic brakes, mudflaps and or if you want to do your Alley Kat chrome grill (with out having to pay any Royalties) I can help you.
Make sure you send Larry Lord your email address so that the next time he has a So. Cal. Cruise you will be notifed.
Hope to see you around real soon. Don't worry about that smile that won't leave your face it's a Prowler Trademark that comes with ownership.
Remember if there is anything I can help you with give me a "holler".

Mike,

Great color choice! Stop by the Fillmore Car Show on Sunday to compare Kats. I did the grill, ceramic pads, mud flaps, replaced the center caps, did some shimmers, tranny cover, air patrol, Dek Pro Tek, Ram Air, trailer hitch, luggage rack, clear side markers, and a tonneau cover...all since March. Hope to see you Sunday.

I did not have tape on my chrome door edge guard. It is u-shaped with soft adhesive inside the "u" but I bought it at a real auto parts store for paint, etc and not at a big chain.

Congrats on the new Cat. Are you sure the clicking is coming from the front? I had a similar sound (like a crealing) a few years ago and it turned out the bolts were loose on the rear braces on either side of the transaxle.

What are you talking about Rich? Clean and Dry!!!

It hasn't stopped raining since the Texas Event!!! My car is still not completely clean and dry!!!

It's raining today and if we get more than an inch today, (we got five on Saturday and 6 on Sunday), that will break all records for rain totals of 18 inches in June alone!!!

Mikee, Wow, we are almost neighbors. We live right up the road in Oak View.

Welcome to the board. Glad to see you got the deal you were comfortable with.

A few words of caution regarding the group. Stay away from Ed Monahan and Smelly Cat Salzman, they are a bad influence. Most of the others are fairly harmless, but those two are real trouble, in fact Alley Cat is always trying to scam money from the newbies, along with his lawyer Al Bendover.
