hi people, wonder if you can help, our prowler has 7800 miles on the clock. the car dealer that we bought the car from had it a year before us. i know the handbook says every 7500 miles, but what do you guys do. its going to have oil change, filter change - plugs etc. she is not used everyday, so probably won't do that sort o mileage in a year. on our 72 corvette we used to service her once a year.

any tips gratefully received. thanks

Julie - First, Welcome to the POA!

Many of the owners here use Mobil 1 full-synthetic oil and a high quality oil filter. Sounds like the way you will use your cat, one or possibly two oil changes per year will work. Plug change? Wait 'til the car has 25 to 30K miles on it.

I change oil (Mobil 1) & filter every 3,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.

I strongly believe in frequent oil changes no matter the type.

I agree with the above. Filter and Mobil 1 every 3000-3500 miles. I clean the K&N once a year. You shouldn't need plugs until 30-35K or longer. Welcome to the club! Enjoy your Kat!

Manual says to change the plugs at 100,000 miles, but changed them to Bosch Platinum Plus 4's at 42,000 miles. Shouldn't have waited that long, noticeable improvement in performance.

Julie.......we change the oil and filter in both my cats at every 2500 miles.

I just change engines every six months.

Sorry Julie - don't pay attention to that. Just keep the oil & filter changed regularly.
