Julie, If you can contact CJ, she might be able to help you find a trailer. Good luck on finding your trailer.

Julie,

Is steering at the right hand or left hand side?

Hi and Welcome to the POA!

Good luck on the trailer... but if you are unable to find one, one very viable alternative that many Prowler owners have found is this "weekender".....

thanks for the information, weekender does not look too bad, has any one ever had a replica trailer made, or something very similar made up.

ps - we are coming out to florida 3rd october for 1 week, would love to go to a prowler meet, even though we wont be in ours, any thing going on at this time maybe

many thanks

Julie, trailers are no longer being made so you will have to find a used one. You can have it painted to match the car if you cannot find a purple one.
The price for a new one was between $ 4500 and 5200 and they are not easy to find now, even used.

Julie, I had a '99 trailer factory painted in the 1999 red to match that car. When I sold it, I held onto the trailer and had it repainted to match the 2002 Candy Red. That was a good decision because getting an exact color match is going to be a lot easier than finding a trailer to buy with an exact color match to the car you bought. Keep an open mind and consider painting one even if it is not the right color.

Julie,
Be sure to check out the KatRack cargo carrier that I manufacture for the Prowlers.
It's no weekender but it does the job for a lot less money.

Julie,

As Ed said, the Prowler trailer is no longer being built by DaimlerChrysler. I managed to get them to build 200 more than they planned, but after those they no longer had any more components and did not feel that it was financially feasible to build any more.....especially since Prowler production ended.

As the other have indicated, you can keep your eye out for used or there are other alternatives like the weekender or the type of trailers that are built for motorcycles. I've seen some nice ones that are owned by Prowler owners.

Good luck!

Julie, believe it or not, we used to all be new owners and we needed a little info from each other. Everyone is always very helpful (except watch out for Alley Cat, he lies a lot) lol. You can always believe everything I say, however. lol
Keep your car stock, it will be worth a lot more when you die. Glad you found us.

Julie.........that is one of things that this group prides itself on........lending a helping hand when needed. As Ed said, we were all new at one time and someone had to help us too!

Oh, and Ed......he doesn't understand what stock is....so you can't believe anything he says either! lol!

Julie - Welcome! And... great color choice!
The weekender slides into your hitch receiver and bolts down with one bolt in the hitch pin location. Thats all there is to it. The weekender also has its own receiver for a trailer so you can use your weekender as a shack pack porta-party.

We ARE there. We are everywhere. This is the definitive world-wide prowler club. I haven't been to the UK in a while, but if I'm going to be in the neighborhood, I'll drop an email. The company I work for has a division in New Malden, just outside of London.

later,
Damon.
