quote: Yes they did John. The skies at San Antonio Raceway cleared up by early afternoon with temps and humidity, both in the 90's. The track runs West to East and we also had a headwind of 12 to 15 MPH from the South East. Most all of the cars were running with et's .5 to .6 seconds higher than normal. My best run was a 12.07 ET at 114.71 MPH in the High Voltage Blue Stroker, so I still hold the title for the Quickest Prowler (with my 11.65 ET at No Problem Raceway in February), but I also now hold the new title for the World's Fastest Prowler and received a beautiful trophy at the track. Fred Presenting The Trophy To Me: Laddie and Fred have a record of all the time slips from last evening and will be posting the winners in the bracket racing and and other categories. There were many winners in the racing, auctions and raffles and I'm sure we'll all hear about who won what real soon. We all had a great time, and I'm sure once everyone gets back home, dried out and settled in, there will be hundreds of pictures and many stories to tell! I want to thank Fred & Debe, Tami, AC, Bob & CJ, Ed & Sandy, Laddie, WAYNEW, DAN the Man and everyone else that helped out in making this event a great success. It was great meeting new Prowler friends and seeing all of our old friends too! Thank Ya'll for coming to the Texas Stampede! PS... Dan, I need a new banner! ------------------ |

Here is another shot of Mike recieving his World's Fastest Prowler trophy. As far as I'm concerned personally, this award is for what you did not recieve at No Problem Raceway when you ran the 11.655, Mike. This award is from your fellow Prowler Owners or the POA. A side note, Mike mentioned to me this is the "first" trophy he has ever won! And it came from the POA!! Congratulations Mike! ------------------ |

Not only is the High Voltage Blue II Stroker painted the same blue, but the radiator brace has the same details as the origional and the door inserts match the taupe seats, also. It looks great! Oh - did someone mention it's fast? |

We had a great time at the drags! The Electric Blue II was awesome - beautiful car and FAST!! It was great to see it streak down the track! We had free runs to get our timing down for an hour and a half, then started the brackets. It came down to me versus CJ and Bob Goetz versus Laddie. Laddie and CJ met on the final bracket with Laddie pulling it out to win. CJ ran second. It was a great time I had the best time being back on the track again even though I lost to the better female!! Way to go CJ and Laddie!! T |

When Mike did his run I got down along the cement wall to the side a little ways past the start line to specificly look at his tires (right side was what I looked at for best view) and see if they lifted. Well folks, Mike may have the quickest Prowler, and the fastest Prowler, but he also now owns the title of the only Prowler to do a wheelie! Thats right folks. The front end lifted on launch, then came back down to earth, and back up to launch position as he took off. In his next run, he only lifted to launch position at take off and stayed there. He wasn't up far, but he got 'em off!! WAY TO GO MIKE!! |
