Will be here, next time maybe. At least we will be able to smell the smoke from the bbq at Mikes house, since we only live 50 miles from the Texas border.

Well....It looks like I'm stuck in the office after all. Can't make it either due to too many obligations here at the office and at the house. I'm having some work done on the house next week and need to be around to make sure the contractor gets things done right. I still might be able to fly in on Tuesday night for the bbq at Mike and Judy's house on Wed, then fly out Wed night.

I have shipped Frank Peri's Mulholland Blue hardtop to Mike and Judy's house so he can install it at the BBQ. This will save Frank a ton of money in shipping charges and duty fees he won't have to pay to get the hardtop into Canada. I hope I can still make it?????

Have fun everyone if I don't get to tell you all in person.

Norb,
What a bummer to hear that you can't make it. I was looking forward to seeing you again.
I can't thank you enough for the hospitality you shown to George and William Maxey and myself while we were in CA a few months back. Thanks for showing us around your shop.

I was really wanting to try to make it. Wife and I both have bad backs. Can't drive much longer than an hour or so. Then we have to stop for a while. Even so, we were going to try. Then we found out about driving some crooked roads. That wiped us out. The wife gets violently car sick on crooked and twisting roads. Not any fun for either of us. She being sick, and me feeling responsible for making her ill. At least I hope it's the roads that make her ill. And not my ugly kisser. Have a great time all.

I know Wayne, I know - I feel the pain as well !!

Everyone is heading out to TX, every discussion is about the stampede - just great, makes me want to sit in my car and just drive there, but NO some of us still gotta work or have other good reasons not to participate at the stampede - this just sucks - NOT fair !

Hate to miss Texas but we're looking forward to seeing some of you in Nashville in a few weeks.

Bummer, now I got that empty and abandoned feeling from reading this thread!

My husband left tonight at 5:00 for Texas. So the party has started.
I think this is the first event I really, really wish I could of went to. I now regret I did not try harder to go.

We have Canada to start planning for. I had so much fun last year, I cannot wait for July. I should check to see how far it is.

Well back to the party....Kim

I guess that my feelings are about the same as everyone else, however we had plans of going and even signed up and made a reservation at the hotel but in the end had to drop out. but are still going on vacation but cant leave until tuesday and are taking the PT and not "SUNKIST" spending three nights in Reno then on to Vegas for Sat, Sun night then back home on Monday.

Worst part will not be able to get on line to check in for a whole week, which may be good for the rest of you not haveing to read my comments.

Hope fully next year will be a West Coast event. What do ya say Ca Phil?????

I have a test drive going all this weekend and next week at the proving grounds here in Phoenix for new VW products...bad timing and I'll have to talk to my bosses about checking with me first to see whats on my schedule....ha ha ha. I like the idea of a West Coast party for some of us to attend next year...even if it is called a "regional" event. To everyone in Texas...HAVE A GREAT TIME

Indeed, Prowlin' life's great..
It's nice to see y'all celebrate..

We wholeheartedly wish, Happy SAFE travels to the TX-bound Fun Bunch of Prwlyn, 01Prowler, MikeG, BeWare,CJ, EdM, DanP, MeanCat, INPhil, Pauley, MartyU, AlleyC, LaddieR, WarmnCool, DRProwler, BobG and others. Ooh yea! the Prowler brotherhood/sisterhood will surely show it's FUN-2-d-maxx persona. After all, let's be ALIVE.. when we're still alive, isn't it?

Wife Rena (of 31 years) and I have profoundly enjoyed the Cat Caramaderie in the past year. How nice it'll be to meet y'all someday. We wish we could trek to the Lone Star for this one and all the FUN stuff. But, we will be escorting, boppin, danzin & whooping it up with a group of sea cruiser friends around the EuroMed (Venice to Barcelona)aboard the Celebrity Millenium for 14 days. Hmm, maybe our Prowler frenz could share their FUN with us for our 5th annual Holiday CruiseFest, 4nites, Nov 29, 04, Carnival Paradise off Long Beach CA, rates start at $249! (inside/port inc). That's the price of a trans cooler cover...

Seconding the great Blockbuster's Cali hook-up call.. "Hope fully next year will be a West Coast event. What do ya say Ca Phil????? "

We wish the best to all those travelling to the Stampede. We were very wishy washy because Christine's due date for the twins was June 12th. When they decided to arrive two months early, we really thought we had a shot to make it. Unfortunately Christine's mom is ill in the hospital and we felt it was best to stay here. Y'all have a great time and take lots of pictures. My Kat is in the shop getting the RR Ram Air Panels installed and painted. Will a DVD be made available to the homebound?
