Can't say that I've done any "damage" to either of my cats, but did run the Candy Red pretty hard down Dragon's Tale which I think Gary Archer can attest to!! |

I have a tie for first place: Spring of 2003 Nevada Prowler event,,,driving over 115mph for a steady 35 miles out to Area 51,,,and not trying to think about the lower ball joint recall Summer of 2003 Arizona Prowler event,,,driving down from 10,000 foot elevation to the desert floor on the real Devil's Highway,,, negotiating over 1,000 switchbacks @ 30mph "over" the posted speed limit!!! A roller coaster of pure adrenalin rush! ------------------

Backward through an electric fence and cow pasture after finding just over the max speed capability of a prowler while taking an off camber turn with a small rise and drop (It was less than the 90 MPH I tried it at) No cows died while making this $5500 lesson! Drove very very aggressively one day...disregarding pot holes, bumps, etc.... The welding from the catalytic converter broke apart. I had a very good time though, it's a good challenge controlling this thing sometimes. |

just plain old everyday driving every day of the year thru 2 snowy winters.....enough snow and ice on the ground and they spin like a Viper .....loved doing donuts(in the snow) in the school parking lot, took me back about 35 years, except the cars I had in highschool didn't need the snow to set the tires on fire |

quote: Curt - Rocky the squirrel made a very bad error in judgement trying to cross the Devil's Highway at that location. For me,,,it was either taking a Grand Caravan on 'head-on' or going over the cliff (no guard rails) to see if the Prowler could fly while descending 700 feet to the bottom of a canyon. May Rocky rest in peace!!! |

It was a dangerous mission, but one that needed to be undertaken. No one had ever before tested the findings of encountering dangerous wildlife on the open road in a Prowler. He knew the risks involved, he gave it his all, and he paid the ultimate price. However, he died not in vain, nor did he suffer in pain. His actions are to be commended and I, for one, salute him, 'cause, Rocky's my HERO! |
