I haven't been on here much as I had surgery on my right wrist and now a cast on it, but here goes, a few months ago my dealer had to put a new top and assembly on my orange kat. No one knows why it went so out of wack, but it did and they could not adjust it. Just thought that I would let you all know about it. I'm kinda hoping that maybe someone else out there has had the same problem, and then again, I hope not. Jean |

Hi Karesel, That was part of it and when I tried to put it up it wouldn't latch correctly. If it latched in the front it wouldn't latch in the back and visa versa, or it would latch on 1 side and not the other both in the front and in the back. It was a real pain. I have not been able to check this out since they put the new top on. Jean |

glad you got a new top.sounds like they didn't know how to adjust it.there are actually 8 adjustment points,6 having to do w.top to body and 2 to glass.im assuming it closes allright now.could have been top frame out of whack, but thats pretty unusual. ------------------ |

when lifting up or down ,lean in ,and ALLWAYS GRAB FROM THE MIDDLE on the back of the top....that should avoid any twisting of the frame. > also dont forget to flip up the back window part first, the directions are in the owners manual. > the adjustments are also moveable-tighten/loosten the front clips. ------------------ |

Thank you both for the info. I lifted the top as close to the middle as I could. I haven't put it up & down that much. When the weather is really nice I would leave the top down, unless it was going to rain, which doesn't happen here very much. It was soooooooooooooooooo out of wack that they couldn't adjust it, no matter how much they tried, so they just replaced it. I haven't even been physically able to drive it since the middle of January. When I am able to put the top up and down I will let you know if it is fixed and I am anxious to drive it and to put the top down. |

Yes, it was twisted and they said they put on a whole assembly and I have never had a problem with my dealer in the past so I have no reason to doubt them. |
