A few friends of mine are going to run their cars in an Autocross on Sun... They asked me to come out and run. My Mustang has 600+hp at the crank so it's not the car for slow tight turns... so I was think about taking the Prowler. My only concern is hitting the cones and possibly scruffing the paint as a result. Anyone have any experiences with that??? Thanks Frank ------------------ 94' Mustang Cobra |

Frank. The Prowler handles great in autocross. Just leave it in 2nd gear and go.... You could put the bra on the front if you're worried about running over cones... ------------------ |

As the winner of the "Conehead Award" at PTS (for running over the most cones during the Autocross), I have some experience in this area. I think the final number, after 3 runs, was like 17 cones. None of them left a mark! ENJOY!!!! |

Do it It's so fun. Tons of us did it in pigon forge this summer. The car handles very well. It's so fun!! Here I'm smoking the grounds!! Autostick in second is the best you can use 1st to slow down Trey Enjoy[img] |

Depends on the autocross course!! We had ours set up in a parking lot and a couple of people hit the curbs around the parking lot lights......was not good. My husband preferred I not run mine.....he felt it would be to much wear on the tires! |

Run the autocross at your own risk... If you run it, make sure you remove ALL aftermarket accessories... I ran in one event. This is unrelated to the above pics where someone's ball joint popped, but it was the same course that I ran. I left RealRod's front license plate on by car. (It connects to the end of RealRod's body protector). The weight of the license plate face caused the bracket which hold's the body protector to snap. RealRod, being the nice guy he is, replaced it at his own expense. (Thanks Bob!!). |
