I'm starting to use the autostick more lately. I like to keep it in 3rd around town, and downshift to 2nd at 40 MPH when stopping for lights...at 40 MPH, I can't feel the shift from 3rd to 2nd, just the lower gear adding to my braking....(cool). I never downshift to 1st at the light, as anything over 12 MPH feels jerky. I'll let it settle down to 1st at a complete stop. How do you guys drive it? Any differently? Upshifting: no need to discuss....LOL. |

I use the Auto-Stick to downshift mostly. I do drop it down into first gear but usually below 10 mph to avoid the jerking. The only other time I use the Auto-stick is when pulling the trailer on the highway. I lock it in 4th gear then. |

I abuse the AutoStick 100% of the time - up shifts and downshifts. I may have had multiple engines, but the tranny is still original with over 70,000 miles. Sometimes when I am bored, I try to imitate driving a four speed stick - trying to get the same sounds -just for something to do. Unless I am on the freeway or cruising in the country, I generally don't shift into fourth. Dean & Marc taught me that in Colorado in 2002! I use the auto stick 95% of the time. I like to keep the engine up in the power range so when I punch it off I go. Very seldom use fourth gear. The only thing I hate is when I take a hard right curve with my hand on the shifter and accidently downshift. ------------------ |

After having experienced The tail of the dragon in Tennessee, autostick is the only way to go. Just a lot more fun both upshifting and downshifting than the boring automatic shift! |

I use the autostick when driving in the mountains, etc. Too much traffic around here for everyday use! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

OK, I have a new favorite thing to do.... Downshifting from 3rd to 2nd while doing 45 MPH. The burble from the Borla is so cool.... 45 MPH seems the perfect speed...any faster and it would lurch too much I think...any slower, and the revs match, so the sound wouldn't be there. |
