Are we going to have to allow Ed a five second head start off the line? I understand he is old and frail, but that is a big jump. |

With over a 100 Prowlers attending the Texas Stampede, it would be nice to see several dozen running down the track. I hope a large % sign up. If you are in doubt, just be sure to attend. Once you see all the driver's having so much fun, you will want to join in too! ------------------ |

Marty, I think they limit it to two at a time. lol. Alley Cat, you had better start your engine NOW if you are going to race me. My car is stock, wait a minute, both of my cats are stock. |

Ed -take both and you can race yourself. Can you run a 1/4 mile after you drive one to get in the other and see if you can catch yourself? |

I did NO practice runs at all,,,,,it showed,,,,,11.33 et first pass,,,,,geezz, 12.56 on the second run At this pace I will not need the chute and even Ed will beat me I must have had Marty's old engine in the 'Stang, lol. I'll get the new hi-po plugs installed and try it again later. CT Chuck - don't try it until you lose the first 50 lbs. |

I wonder if computer speed or connection speed has anything to do with the et's? 10.256 seemed pretty easy and was easily repeated. |

With you guys talking about Drag racing a few questions come to mind. Has anyone come up with the exact guideline of what the definition of "stock" is going to be for the stock title at the Texas Stampede event? Is it still stock if it has a high flow air filter or different spark plugs? Just where is the line? Also, are we going to need helmets, firesuits, or anything special to race there? Just like to be prepared.... |

Skidmore, we are working on the "breakdown" right now and I'll be posting those decisions as soon as we get them detailed. As it is right now it looks like the "Stock" class will include any combination of the following: Cold Air Intake (K&N) and/or muffler changes. We're creating a Modified Stock class for the next step up. This all will be done on the Honor system. We'll discuss the changing of spark plugs, thanks for bringing that one up. Helmets are required but the track is supplying about 5 of them at the start line. You'll return them to there as soon as you get back up the return road or you can bring your own as long as it complies. No firesuits or 5 point harnesses or rollbars. This is a "private" event and so only has to conform to the track rules for private. As normal, everyone racing will be required to sign a Release Form for the track insurance. Hope this helps. We'll have the firm set of rules out shortly. Please keep in mind that this portion of the overall event is purely for the enjoyment for everyone who takes part or just spectates.
