Hello all,

I have been looking for a cover for the Kat. There are a couple on Ebay but not to sure if they are of decent quality ($30.00) car cover seems to good to be true. Does anyone have any recommendations or know where I can get an original Kat cover?

Thanks

James - $30 is too good to be true. Keep checking on the CLASSIFIED section here at the POA and at eBay.com.

The closest cover I've seen comparable to a original Mopar cover, would be the ones made by Big Sky Covers. Custom fit.

Good luck,

I bought one of the $30 ones from ebay. It's just a generic car cover that's the right length for the cat. It's fine for the garage just to keep the dust off. Actually I would rather have just a lightweight cotton cover instaed.

James,

I purchased a cover made by the original manufacturer that made the OEM cover from CoverCraft for around $200.
I agree that a simple cotton cover for inside would be better some times.

I have heard the Mopar cover can actually scratch the clear coat. Not very paint friendly....

There was a Mopar one on ebay with a bag yesterday around $70 at the time. I bought one from california Car covers, very good quality. I got a blue one to match my Mulholland and they personalized it also.

What did you have them do to personalize it? Can they put the Prowler LOGO on it or the Kat?

ET - I have the Mopar Prowler Car cover (by CoverCraft) for both my 1999 and my 2002. I've not experienced scratches on my cat from using them.

Do you know, when looking at the CoverCraft covers that are currently available which one is most like the Factory Cover?

My cali car cover looks just like my Mopar one, except no plastic license plate area. Good fit! I just had them put on Chuck's Blue Prowler on the Front. Its pretty large lettering maybe 30" i guess.

I just bought a new car cover from California Car Cover (www.calcarcover.com). I had heard from another member that the Mopar cover would scratch the clear coat. The underside of the car cover I bought is v-e-r-y soft, but does leave a little lent on the soft top. I put a bed sheet over the top to keep the lent off. The car cover has mirror pockets and the name "Prowler" embroidered in Orange in front. (I asked for orange since my car is orange). They have several model covers to pick from. Other covers may be fine, but I am very satisfied with mine.

I bought a car cover from Autozone for $150. It's good against all type of weather, rain, snow, sleet, ect. It's the soft cotten they're talking about also, but it's made to fit the Prowler. I haven't seen a better car cover for the Prowler yet.

Have the factory cover and i have no problems with it. Fits like a glove and leaves no lint on the kat.
