Marty, Your New Tires look Great! What Brand are they? They look like they fill up wheel wells nicely. How do they ride? Are they quiet? Chromer. |

Todd - what fun would it be if I didn't push the car every once in a while. That's why they make parts to repair the motors! Ken - they are quiet now. I wonder about tire noise as they begin to wear. The rears are rated at 420 so they should last a little longer than my old Dunlops. John - I have about 5000 miles on them now and after grinding a bit on the frame they don't rub any more that I have noticed, but I have not really pushed it through any hard turns lately. I have not been driving it much as I am driving Rebecca's 2002 Ford Escape with for sale signs on it trying to sell it. I would probably not get the 40 aspect fronts and stick with the stock size because of the ride quality. However the fronts do grip better than stock. Loan Ranger - this is my third set of tires. I have 68,000 miles on my kat and probably used the nitrous switch for a few too many burn outs. The Dunlop rear tires only lasted about 25,000 miles. The fronts still had about 50% tread but had been mounted on the original rims that were bent for so long that even on new wheels they would not balance. |

Marty, looks great. What did you do with your black powder coated rims? Also, has anyone seen Mickey Thompson's new drag radial?? Cool tread design... http://www.modularfox.com/new/dr2.jpg ------------------ |

Marc Scarbeary in Denver has the blacjk powder coated wheels. The photos I poosted arepretty lousy, but I bought Torque Thrust II's form RealRod - they have polished outer rim with gray spokes. I'll have to check out the MT drag radials to see what sizes are made. |
