I bought GRROWL with the 7/100,000 warranty fully expecting to hit 100,000 miles before the 7 years. Had I not changed jobs, the 36,000 would have been up in 18 months. I do have spare cars and mostly use the '98 Firebird that I equipped with Michelin Arctic Alpins for backup. I look outside in the morning and, if it's not currently snowing, raining or icy, I take GRROWL (which is about 95%). Since I don't listen to the weather reports, GRROWL has been through all types of snow, ice, wintry mix, chemical spill, you name it. I do consider GRROWL a daily driver, but I need to run the spare cars some time (I do adhere to the philosophy that if you don't drive them, they break more - that doesn't just apply to prowlers). -GRROWL I'd say GRROWL is a daily driver. In the winter, I drive my 2002 Durango R/T pretty much exclusively. In summers past, I've driven my 1994 Stealth R/T for the most part with the Durango thrown in once or twice a week. Since I just got the Prowler in the beginning of October, I have yet to experience what it's like to have it sitting there in the garage waiting for me. I'd like to keep it for a weekend driver only, but I don't know that I'll be able to resist driving it more frequently -- perhaps even to work (weather permitting). |

When i drive down to the job site a few times a day its my Ford F-150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4. If not its the 2003 Jaguar S-Type-R (in winter.) Nice weather, (April thru Nov) I take turns driving the Jag XKR Red Conv. and my 2 Kats. This way i don't put a lot of miles on anyone of them. When i go Golfing its usually the XKR, it has a trunk! ------------------ |

Well, we have a good stable of cars, so we have a chart to tell us when one has been sitting the longest. The weather is usually nice, so the convertibles have first choice. With five of them its a chore The Honda S2000 gets picked most of the time. '89 M-B 560SL ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . Until it got wrecked, our 2003 Hemi Ram was my daily driver. It's in the body shop now with $15,000 damage. For reasons, I would rather not go into details about what happened. Linda was alone and driving but it was not her fault and she was not injured in any way. Thank God. However when you see the truck you wonder how she avoided being seriously injured. It's at the same shop that painted our Prowler. The guy is slower than cold tar. Some of the delays were not his fault, but it's been there two months. I am going over after Christmas and see what's up. Decided not to go sooner just in case not much progress has been made. I did not want to get upset just before Christmas. ....I drove my orange Kat for 18 months(28K miles) as a daily driver, which included two winters full of snow and ice(it did amazingly well).....sold that car a few months back.....my new daily driver and winter sled is a 2003 50th Anniversary 'Vette conv.....it doesn't get around in the snow as good as a Prowler, I can already tell that much.....my wife has a Jeep so I may be riding with her if there is much snow... she has very little pity for me because all I have and want are sportscars(9 of 'em)....may be commuting to my hangouts via sled..... I normally work out of the house or am driving to the airport so I usually take a 96 GMC SLT Jimmy 4x4 or a 97 Chevy S10 for the expected moron that opens the doors into them. If I can get out for lunch then depending on what I need to get done the Prowler or a 96 HD Heritage get added to the list. Mom keeps me away from her 300M. |
