I've been hearing rumors for months, but my local Costco finally has the bales of microfiber towels. In fact, they're color-matching (yellow). At 12 for $8.39, GRROWL says they're GRReat! (That's only SEVENTY CENTS each!) They're 16"x16", soft, medium-thickness but dense, and did I say YELLOW?, and they pass the CD test with flying colors.

Even though it's off-season, they had several auto items:

- Simoniz Pops-a-Dent for $13.99

- 48-pack terry towels, 14"x17", for $12.89 (at a quarter each, they're just about disposable)

- 4-pk Chevron Techron Progard fuel-injector cleaner for $9.79

- Optima red-top battery, size 75/35
QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WILL FIT THE PROWLER? I BELIEVE SOMEONE SAID A SIZE 34 IS REQUIRE. ????

- 2-pk Ionic Air Cleaner for cigarette lighter, with scent pads for your favorite scent, $13.99

- 6-pk AA plus 2-pk AAA Panasonic Ni-MH batteries and charger ("3X Longer Life than AA Alkalines in Digital Cameras") for $18.79 (yes this is car-related, you need them for your digital camera to take pictures of your prowler and mods to post here)

Tis the season.

Thanks, Todd,

After 3-1/2 years, I figure it's about time and can feel GRROWL cranking a bit slow.

Hi guys - I read a long time ago when I owned my BLACK '00 Mustang that the only towels that should be used to wax/dry cars with were the Canon (spelling) brand - and they're only available at certain places.

Rumor or truth has it that they're the only towels made in the U.S. out of 100% cotton, and I guess U.S. 100% cotton truly is, where when it comes from foreign lands it's not truly 100%???

I've used them for the last 5 years on all vehicles and have to admit I'm impressed, but just wonder if it's one of the many that's useable

oh well...just thought I'd add :-)

laterz...

Canon, Fieldcrest, and Royal Velvet are all 100% USA cotton towels. Microfiber towels usually are not 100% cotton, but are of fine weave with high pile loops. They too are a good towel. I just bought some Fieldcrest at Bed Bath and Beyond for a good price. I also have some microfiber towels from Wal-mart. Haven't used the Fieldcrest yet but have never had a problem with the microfiber towels. The only thing is that they are real prone to pick up and hold tiny things if you set them down. That won't do your paint job much service.

The Optima's in GRROWL - fit just fine. Didn't have to remove anything else (like the grill) or access from below (as others have mentioned). About a 15-minute job, and it turns over faster than new.
