I stopped to get gas and a very long limo drove up next to my car. The limo driver got out and opened the back door. A short man with a suit and tie steped out and asked if the prowler was my car. I said "yes, its a 2000 Plymoth Prowler, not many made". He asked if he could sit inside. I said "sure, just dont drive off". The guy sat in the car and said he always wanted to sit in this car. He asked me how much it cost and made some idle chit-chat. The guy said his name, but I dont recall what it was. He looked at me and said "Thanks, that was worth about $100 bucks, American made too you say?" I said "Yep", could`nt think of anthing catchy to say. His driver handed me a bill. I said I did`nt want any money, and the guy was getting back into his limo, He paused and replied "Hell son nothings free, thats a damn nice American car you got". He got in the limo and the driver shut the door. The limo drove off. I stood there a bit confused and had a $100 dollar bill in my hand. I have no idea who that guy was, the name didnt ring any bells and I didnt regonize him, but he made my day, confused it a bit, but made my day. Guess I made his day too.

Wow $100 to sit in it. I wonder what he would have paid to drive it or even just go for a ride. Only you older folks will understand this pun. The guy must have been or associated with John Bares Patipton. |

I think you meant to refer to John Beresford Tipton, BeWare. He was The Millionaire in the 1995-1960 series in the series with the same name who gave out a million dollars to people chosen at random. |

Now that Woodwards are going for $32000 plus $3000 to $10000 for winter market adjustment (see classifieds), it's just a matter of time before I won't be able to afford to sit in my own car Mike |

That's cool, but what I don't understand is.......If he's always wanted one, has enough money for a limo, then why hasn't he just bought one of his own........that he can sit in any time he wanted? |

When I was a kid a guy used to come around with a pony and take pictures of kids sitting on the pony for a fee. Apparently he made money at it. It might not be too far fetched. I would rather have a Prowler than a pony, my feet would drag on a pony. lol |
