I am thinking about purchasing an extended warranty. My warranty expires in one month. I would like a product sold through and valid at any Chrysler dealer. What is a fair price and who has a good deal. Thanks.

I just ordered an extended warranty from Bob Cooper at 1-800-259-5337. He quoted me a price over the phone around $1,200 with no deductable. He's mailing the papers to me to sign and I will send him a check. I asked for waranty number MCX760L which you can look up on Chrysler'sweb site. I estimated that no more than 50,000 wiould be on the vehicle during the time the car is under warranty. My Prowler is a 2001 and the in-service date is in a week from now. Your timing is also good. Bob Cooper came highly recommended by several POA members. The $1,200 price Bob quoted represents a big price reduction over the old cost. With this extended coverage your Prowler will be covered for a total of 7 years or 50,000 miles. I also found out from other POA members that it doesn't matter which Chrysler dealership you buy the waranty from, it's valid anyplace in the US. Good luck.

Is that the maximum amount of time available?

I believe it is. Before I got off the phone with Bob Cooper I double-checked on how long my car would be covered. My car is three years old now so my understanding is it will covered for four more years.

Call Fred John at Causeway Chrysler $100 over cost on Chrysler Extended warrantry for any Chrysler product. Ph 800-259-5337 or 985-892-9165 Covington, LA

There are lots of options on warranty.

Maxi Care vs Added care ...
years of coverage ..
miles ...
deductible ...

Costs vary depending what year you purchase the warranty in
1st 12 months
2nd 12 months
3rd 12 months

Also, some Prowlers since 4th qtr of 2001 come with extended power train warranty for 7 years and 70K miles or something. So, the costs would be lower for these cars...
