I just got an email that asks us to submit our planned vacation schedule to the office manager if we plan to take any vacation time in the first half of 2004. Is there any news about a POA event in Canada or Texas for 2004. We hope to make the May 2004 Pigeon Forge event for a day or two, but haven't heard much about other regional/national/international larger events. Just to start some dialogue - I would love to part of a group of Prowlers meeting back at the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise next August! Anybody else like to join us there? Marty ------------------ |

Depending on what else is or is not planned, Woodward would be a definite possibility for us. We do not plan on making Pigeon Forge in May. We had a great time at CTC in spite of the rain and if the drags are scheduled I think that is one we will definitely attend in 2004. Even if they don't allow Prowlers we would probably still go down for the drags. |

Marty, RIch. I'll be hosting the 4th Annual Prowler Drags during Cruisin' the Coast 2004. The Prowler Drags will be on Wed. Oct.6th Test & Tune night 5:00 pm. The Prowler Drags will be scheduled for Friday, Oct. 8th & backup on Saturday, Oct. 9th... The Wed night will be an early backup just depending on weather... Although CTC will have some restrictions and Prowlers will be approved on an Exception basis, I'm still planning to host the 4th Annual Prowler Drags around the event. I'm considering going back to No Problem Raceway and also including some time on the 1.8 mile road course with 14 turns. Also some time on the 1/2 mile road course. Work this in around the Drags and some Plantation or cruisin & eatin around LA... Work in some Cruisin to MS... Schedule open. CTC is an open event not a POA event... I will host the 4th Annual Prowler Drags event if I'm the only Prowler there between Oct. 6th & Oct. 9th, 2004 in South Louisiana or Mississippi... ------------------ |

I'm thinking the proposal for the 2004 event in Texas is forthcoming soon. Without letting the 'cat out of the bag', I think the tentative date is early to mid June??? Stay tuned!!! ------------------ 27,000 miles of smiles

We should be in Woodward in 2004 for sure. Spend a week there if I could. Best cruising I've been to. I can race here in the cool air, so I don't see going to Texas. Too bad you can't make Vegas Marty. Another time I hope. And I wish LA was closer to me Laddie, I lived in Baton Rouge for a few years back in my younger days. Could not have a more hospitable (is that a word?) state IMO. If it didn't take 4 days up and 4 back we would be there. ------------------ This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 10-31-2003 at 09:32 AM |

I've been at Woodward every year since 2000. Well... I was on my way this year when the lights went out, so turned around in Ohio and headed home. I would expect to be back up there next year. Mike |

There was some informal talk among a small group of Wisconsin and Illinois owners about woodward '04. Sounded like there was real interest, but no definite plans as of yet. |

Laddie What restrictions were you told were required to enter prowlers in 2004 CTC. I ask and they could not tell me the requirements. They just stated it was car by car judged. NO hint to degree of modifications were needed. I got the impression that Chrome and polished Alum would not be enough. So we kind of blew it off for next year. Jim R |

Now we're starting to talk my language!! May - Pigeon Forge That's a vacation schedule! The best part to me is there is no Louisville event scheduled and I won't be planning the Pigeon Forge event in 2004! Hopefully we can make at least 3 of the above events. ------------------ |

Thanks Marty, for starting this post. Was wondering the same thing. We all need to plan early for the events we plan to attend, put in for off time, ect. Glad to see some other events springing up. I will definately be at Pigeon Forge, try to make Woodward, CTC, maybe Niagra or something in Canada. Not sure about Texas in June. Jim |

I usually can only do one large event each year. We will not be at Pigeon Forge, but we would like to go to Texas, will try to make Canada, and I will be going to Carlisle in July. This message has been edited by Dave Mills on 11-03-2003 at 11:07 AM |
