Help me with this one: If buying a Prowler out of original factory warranty, can a Chrysler Max Care extended warranty still be purchased? Thanks |

Hey, AC, Does this answer it? 1. I think the last time we looked this up, you only had 3 years/36,000 miles to upgrade an existing contract - the second paragraph now states that it is 48/48,000. 2. Since the new car 3/36,000 is transferrable with the car, I would assume that the first paragraph applies to second owners as well and that they have 3/36,000 to buy a new extended warranty (but there's a premium after 1 and 2 years, as we found last time). -GRROWL |

Thanks GRROWL I guess my question is 'if' buying a used Prowler from a private owner and 'out' of factory warranty (3/36), is it possible to buy a Chrysler extended warranty. Car is still within the 48 month window from build date and in-service date. AC |

Perhaps it is because I am friends with the service manager, but I was told that I could get the extended warrenty whenever I wanted. The years and miles would begin when the car was originally sold. |

I purchased the extended service and upgraded my warranty to 7 yrs/75k. I also purchased this same warranty for my PT Cruiser which I purchased from a private party. The amount of the contract goes by how many miles are on the car. The PT had 37k and it cost me $1400 through Daimler Crysler Service Contracts (1-800-521-9922) I will say when I took my Prowler in with 6k miles and complained about the chrome on the wheels flaking, I was told to call Chrysler by the service manager and after going back and forth from dealer to Chrysler, I was told they would not cover the wheels. The service contract covers over 5,000 parts and is supposed to be one of the best, but not for wheels. |
