a few weeks ago I installed a factory GPS system in "SUNKIST" what a blast, the system was for a 01-02 town and country chrysler van but the install went real smooth with very little brain fade to do it in a prowler (kinda like whoope in a cat but it can be done, cramped) is very cool to follow it to where you want to go and to get where you dont have a clue to where to go and are to macho to stop and ask someone. well worth the investment block-buster ------------------ This message has been edited by cmblockhus on 09-17-2003 at 09:11 PM |

Did you use the Mopar RB1 color map system? What did you need to do to install it? Does the remote changer still work? Jay, Here's a Prowler opportunity for you. You can add the Sirius satellite radio and use the screen display. Can you say kit???? |

Mornin Bob: I think the part # was yu3f-19a016-ea its a 2.0 color system I tried to mount the cd-rom player standing up but wouldnt work so laid it on the floor flat in front of the passanger seat and is not in the way at all, my stock radio and 6 disc still work just fine the biggest problem was where to mount the display unit, I took apart the ac vent system notched it and put the mount brackt inside top of the left side of the two center vents, it blocks the speedo at low speeds like up about 40 unless you look over it. the harness just plugs into the radio then the radio plugs into it, one wire to the vvs (speed sensor) at the pcm and one to the back up lights. they are over priced at about 1800.00 but our parts dept was stuck with 2 units one for a pt and one for a t&c so I got one for $800.00 was to good to pass up. and below his cost. then bought the updated cd for $125.00, now Im sceamin a way to buy the pt unit for the wifes pt. curtis |
