IF I WAS ONLY GOING TO BUY ONE MAJOR ACCESSORY FOR MY PROWLER, IT WOULD BE A TOP. I HAVE TWO KATS, ONE WITH A HARDTOP AND I THINK THAT'S THE BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT FOR IT.

....Agree, the top is an outstanding addition for the Prowler....I just put one on a yellow Kat....wasn't sure if it would be "too much" yellow or not....but it looks great....TGF grill is also one of my favorite pieces, although not popular with everyone that sees it....

I agree with you guys. Just received my top about 4 weeks ago thru Bob at Real Rod. It has been a hit at 3 shows. I won 1st place out of 23 Prowlers at Chryslers at Carlisle. My car was the only on with a Hard Top. I love it. Hope to see you guys in the Smokies next month.

I have a question about the hard tops. Can you get into the trunk with the hard top on? I might like one for the winter up here is Seattle but not if I loose access to the trunk.

You would have to remove the top to get into the trunk.

Without sounding sarcastic, and knowing that driving my Kat with the top down is the best experience, why buy a convertible and stick a hard top on it. I just don't understand the logic, if there is any...

Darcy, some days it is too hot to drive with the top down, some days it is too cold to drive with the top down and on long trips it is A LOT quieter. It changes the entire look of the car. I think the car looks even better with a hardtop on it. It is not very difficult or time consuming to remove it.
It is like any other mod. Some like it, some don't. I like it but don't feel the need to convince any one else to buy one. There are not that many hardtops out there so it gives you somewhat of an unique car even at a Prowler event.

Personally I prefer the car with the top on it. Unfortunately, Upper Management (Brenda) holds Darcy's point of view so all of my requests have been rejected!

I think the hard top makes the Kat look super cooool. I really like the look a lot,but am a topless man. The only time my top is up is if I get caught in rain or cold.
Top is a most righteous look though.

MY THOUGHT IS THAT A PROWLER WITH A HARD TOP IS A REALLY COOL LOOKING UNIQUE CAR. THE CROSSFIRE IN A YEAR OR TWO WILL JUST BE ANOTHER FOREIGN CAR (JUST MY OPINION).

Hey guys, we all have opinions. That's what makes us different. Mod's we make make our cars look different. Most of us, maybe even all of us, modify our cars for our own personal taste, not really to please someone else. I can appreciate any mod that someone else may have on their car. It may not be something I would do to mine, but I can still appreciate it. I can't remember who asked the question about the deck lid being raised, but you can raise it with the top in place. Someone must hold it up , but it can be raised. My car is so much more quiet inside with the Hard Top in place. Ed is right. The hard top can come off as easily as folding the soft top. Our weather is so humid, I rarely ride with my top down. Just my oppinion-- and you know what they say about oppinions!!!!!!

I have to agree with KatAddict completely!!!I can see if you drive the Kat in winter its a must. But for most of us fair weather drivers, its not practical.

....it is like having two different cars - one a hardtop and one a convertible. I can't see anything wrong with an extra car, can you? I bought the Prowler not only because it was a convertible, but because it is the coolest car around. And the hardtop is cool as well - looks great!

I must admit I rarely use the hardtop in the dead of summer, but in the spring and fall, it gets a fair degree of use. It also makes car unique. I have won several "best Prowler" awards at car shows and I think it has a lot to do with the hardtop.

Does anyone have a hard top for a Muholland Edition and if so do you have any pics?
How much for the top and how long does it take to get it.
Thanks

Ronald, someone photographed my car at Carlisle recently. Look up the Prowler "events" here on the POA site, and look for "Carlisle". Scroll down and you will see my car front and rear view with the hard top. As for as time; mine took almost a year to receive. You can purchase one thru "Real Rod". They are a vendor listed on this site. Bob at Real Rod does not manufacture the top, but he is the national distributor for TGF ( the manufacturer), so Bob can only give you an approximate delivery time. My delivery time was backed up several months several times. TGF's primary business is building show ready prototype concept cars. They have to fit a time window in their busy schedule to build a few tops. Bob can give you all of this info though. Give him a call. The top is about $3250.00 delivered to your door. I can tell you mine was worth the wait.
