Please excuse my ignorance to commenting directly through the poll. Did it seem odd to any of you that anyone who was a Prowler owner (assuming that they bought it themselves) would give up their Prowler for the coming Crossfire? While the Crossfire seems to have a sports car appeal, it's nothing like a Prowler (as if any other car is, ha!). I can appreciate slightly the 4% who posted "maybe", but the 1% that would definitely trade... I just can't see it. Terry |

....They probably haven't seen a real Crossfire  I wouldn't trade a Prowler for several Crossfires.....just not what I want in a car.... |

Personally, I’m not interested in the Crossfire. But I certainly wouldn’t discredit someone (no implying that’s what’s being done here) just because they wanted to get one even if they were trading their Prowler to get it. Everyone has different tastes and financial resources. To each his/her own. ------------------ |

Please let it be stated that I am not trying to discredit anyone wishing to trade their Prowler for a Crossfire or any other car for that manner. What I don't understand is: Certain attributes of the Prowler attacked each of us to wanting to own one. What attributes are now lacking in the Prowler that the Crossfire better fits? Is it a maintenance thing? But if so, why another Chrysler product? Is it a hard top need? Maybe... Performance concern?... But from what I recollect the Crossfire isn't expected to be any quicker. Maybe it's as simple as a styling change? It's a curiosity thing for me, |

You know, there are some of us that want anything new, especially in cars, and to be the first one on the block to have one. Before I bought my Kat, I had thought of waiting for the Crossfire. Thanks Blue Kat, I'd hadn't thought of the "first-one-on -the-block syndrome." That is definitely a strong appeal. What about Dodge's Razor? I saw one at a car show this year. Terry |

The 1% could also be just a goofball throwing the mix. I don't have a Prowler yet but check the board during the week. I could see where someone clicks to upset. I never click on the polls I am not a Prowner, but this is much nicer than the Corvette boards so I like it here. Someday Corvette = 1/2 of 1997 Prowler. |

Terry, the Razor is a cool car for sure, just not many whistles and bells. It was designed to be a bare bones, inexpensive toy car . . . and it's fits the bill. I'd still keep the Kat! |

Actually the Crossfire is a really neat car but has absolutly nothing in common with a Prowler at all except that they're both built by DC and they both have 2 seats. They shouldn't be compared at all. JRL |

Personally I do not understand anyone selling their Prowler for ANY other car. That is just my opinion, however. I am sure there are financial concerns, divorces, lemon laws etc that could force me to change my mind, but I don't see it in my future. I am shocked by the number of used Prowlers for sale. Again, it is just my opinion and absolutely none of my business. |

Ed, you've been warned about expressing opinions, haven't you? Really, Ed's right on, to each their own. While there's never been a car to compare to the Prowler (and probably never will be) the Crossfire's not unattractive and suits the country club set a little more. The Crossfire is nice....but part with my Kat?? Not. If I had the wherewithall and the space, I'd certainly consider one for an every day driver...and with all this rain it may not be a bad idea! |

This weekend was my first Prowler Event. If you have ever attended such a fine run event with 54 Kats you would never sell it for a Crossfire!!Just can't see 54 guys and gals getting together to cruise around in one of those.(Period) ------------------ |

I have DRIVEN the Crossfire and it is neat. If I did not own a Prowler, I would take it over the Audi and Boxter but the Prowler is in a class of its own and nothing out there can compare! |

I would buy a Crossfire, in addition to my Prowler, but I need a car that will seat 4. Chrysler has several nice ones set for release in the next couple of model years. I keep thinking about trading my Grand Cherokee for a PT Turbo. |

I just returned from Archer South dealership and they got their first Crossfure in today. Had a salesman take me around back to look at it. Not too bad a car but its no Prowler. Will be going back tomorrow and hopefully might get to take some pics. Will update if I do. ------------------ :flag:  |

To alot of folks, the Prowler was a fad and like any other fad, it ran it's course and alot who had to be the first or had to have one, now do and don't want it anymore (ie. onto the next fad). Other folks, like myself, change cars alot. Some I keep, some I trade, some I buy just to play with for awhile (knowing I really didn't care for it) then sell. The prowler, while fun, to me anyway, is a nonsensical car. For most of us, it's way too impractical for a daily driver. I suspect some of those sales are from folks who bought one because they liked it alot but, then realized later that it was not good for hauling the little ones to school, IMO. Now the crossfire, is not much more practical but, it is the new flavor of the month so..... |

Went to pick up my kat at the dealer today (recall work) and they have a black Crossfire in. It is comfortable to sit in and I liked it more than what I saw in the auto show. Might be because I was able to crawl in it and look all over it. The engine is too small... 3.2L - I am sure they could have fit a hemi under there somehow. I like the 6 speed though... that was kewl. Anyway, I still wouldn't trade my kat for it ------------------ |
