Not flaming anyone, just an observation.

What is the point of having various sections to post to if they possibly do post there BUT, also post here telling you to look there?

IMO, this is bad because it is taking twice the space with two posts. One telling you what they are planning or selling and then another here telling you to go read that one.

One thing that adds to the cost of any site is disk space and/or management of it depending on how far back they archive.

I think the biggest reason that this section ends up being a catch all is that folks get confused as to what they can post here. It doesn't make sense that someone selling a car in this section gets it moved to the "Sale" section but, a "See my Sale" thread stays here, IMO.

YF,
Gosh, who could you be referring to. Didn't mean to get you all upset. I'm not even going to get into to it with you. By the way, according to your thinking does this post really belong HERE.

Yes, yours was one but, there have been ALOT of others.

Please reread my first sentence in the thread. (some folks are always looking for a fight...geeezzz.)

Shouldn't this have been posted in "Off Topic"? It has nothing to do with prowlers.

Just an observation.

Apparently you and ex-Blue Tie can't or didn't read the original post to this thread. Let me enlighten you both.

I wasn't talking about ONE thread.

I was talking about folks that post ONE thread in ANOTHER section and then post ONE thread HERE telling you to go look at that other thread!

I tried to make that as simple as possible. Let me know if you are still confused.

Actually I think that people post here in the general section for the same reason I do. I don't like going to the other areas...I'm just too darn lazy! I like going to the "general" area more than any other section because it's always got a lot of stuff to catch my eye. Matter of fact, I'd bet that the majority of people on here wouldn't even notice if they got rid of the other sections and just had "general discussion" and "classified ads". It's almost to the point where technically speaking there isn't ANYTHING you can post in the "general discussion" area that wouldn't be "better" in another section. I mean if I want to talk about my new side panels I guess I shouldn't have put it in here...it should have been in Prowler Performance/Appearance Discussion. And I guess that would go for 99% of the posts. If we all followed the "rules" the only people who would ever post in the "general" section would be people talking about how great the weather is for driving and what a cool burn out they did. And that would be boring. I have learned TONS of stuff about my car by reading posts right here in the General Discussion area that if the "posting police" had their way would be stuck in the Technical Questions & Answers section and chances are my lazy butt would never have seen them. That's the reason people post here to tell you to go to the other sections to see their "real" post.....'cause no one goes to the other sections! I'm sure it's a pet peeve to some people when others don't post where they are suppose to, and I know it makes the archives nicer to be categorized, but what the heck...I come here to find out stuff about our cars, and instead I'm writing my opinion on a post that is about posting! WTF!!! Let's get back to talking about the real reason we're here...Our love for the Prowler!

YF,
I think the problem lies in WHO is making the statement, (not coming from an "official" POA web person). I'm not even saying that I disagree with you. In fact I your probably correct. I think Robbieb said it correctly though. In my particular case I just wanted to make sure as many folks saw it as possible. I apologize, I'm through with this post.

Listen to JRL 'Why don't you guys grow up?

All I have to say about all this type of postings is give it a break.

I come to this site for information and general discussion about the cars. My job is stressfull enough .

I have an ideal ...... Maybe a new forum. I want to argue with a rock.......
