What are the pros and cons of the various bra's available for the car and trailer? I believe that the Mopar bra's are still available for both. I also see that Speed Lingerie sells them for both as well as bumper and mirror covers. Other than the price differential (the Mopar ones are much cheaper), any opions on the two brands? |

quote: SL comes in color and has clear plastic over the marker light. Mopar cover you might have to order from American Stitchco, (company that made them for DC) they are now called skintight covers On a dark color car the black would be OK. I wish I had yellow SL bra on my trailer |

I personally think the design of the S&L Trailer Bra is superior to the Mopar/Stitcho version. Not so for the Prowler Nose and Hood bra. The Mopar is the btter design. However I will never use either brand Prolwer Bra again. I saw Al's from LA. purple Prowler last weekend and his Mopar Bra did the same thing mine S&L Bra did. It fogged the paint on his hood after the bra got wet. I have had no such problem on the trailer. Maybe because it is made of fiberglass. |

BeWare, I'd like some more detail about this. Was the fogging from leaving the bra on wet or just getting it wet during a trip and it fogging the paint before removal. My plans for a bra are ONLY for travel between home and shows I may go to. I won't use it any other time, an then, only while traveling. |

I have probably put on 10,000 highway trip miles with the Mopar bra on,,,,all kinds of bad weather, and have never had any problems. Maybe just lucky? ------------------

Now, there may be some other factors, but, one precaution is just don't let a wet bra dry on the car... I've had bra on car for 3&1/2 years (99% of time on car). I've been caught in rain, driven in rain and rained on while car was parked. I always take it off & wipe it down or let hang dry once I get to my destination or home. The best paint on my car is under the Bra... ------------------ |

I have the SL bra on the blue kat and got the fog spots on the hood last year on the CA_- AM trip. hit alot of wet weather, had it on and off cleaning, but was on wet for a couple days. The trailer bra didn't and I like how it fits much better than the factory one. |

When you are traveling it is not always easy to avoid letting the bra dry on the car after getting it wet. When traveling to Detroit to the Dream Cruise I took mine off every night at each motel. And again as soon as I arrived in Detroit. I still had to have my hood repainted. The Heat Gun treatment would not take it out. Maybe the mettalic paints are more prone to fogging. All I know is I have seen or heard of several fogging up not to mention my own. Put it on to protect the paint and ended having to get it repainted. The hood bra is the only bra piece I have had, seen or heard of a problem with. |

I never have problems at all with bra, I have 1999 ML 430 bough it in 1998, I left both top & bottom bra on all the times, rain or snow, I never take it off even I took it to the car wash. On my KAT, I put when I travel only or put it on when I parked my KAT outside in the winter. The only problem I have are rock chips at the front bumper after got back from Vegas. I desired to have one of seat cover shop made me one pair of the bumper covers, they are not look as good as I want. Anyone know where can I get a nice pair yellow bumper covers? |
