Ramsie...........welcome to the POA and congratulations on your orange cat. There are several members here who run NOS and I'm sure they will jump in here quickly. Everyone here is very good about answering questions quickly! ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

ok, clue us in, how'd you get so many choices at 16? Welcome to the club, be sure and do everything Marty advises you about how to run NOS. Then turn around and don't do it. |

Welcome to POA. Now for my advise as Ed alluded too. First, stay away from my daughter. She can run a 8.3 1/8 mile with my kat. Well, to be correct; she could before my engine started running on three cylinders last September because of too much nitrous, too little fuel, and the wrong spark plugs. As others have posted before. If you supercharge it, turbo it, bottle feed it, or a variety of other performance enhancements; know what you are doing and be prepared for some possible problems. Nitrous Warehouse offers a kit for the Prowler. It's all Nitrous Express stuff. ProwlerPro has too ways - wet or dry using NOS products. Another owner - KOOLKAT is getting a N2O/Propane kit from a Viper performance guy. Use the search feature on this site and put in nitrous and start reading old posts. Also don't be afraid to ask questions. Finally - Yes, I'm still use the juice - getting my new engine installed in a couple of weeks! ------------------ |

quote: Todd - my problem isn't that I didn't know what to do, it's that I didn't follow my own advise. You just can't beat the rush that comes from blowing the doors off a Camaro SS or Vette at the track and then waiting to see if the other driver will even look at you. (Well, there are other things that might be better, but hey- the new guy is only 16 so I won't go there! |

heh thanks, i really want my prowler to stand out from other cars around here, it does already but more is better in some cases. I have choices as of what to drive, not many 16 year olds have that. So Marty, how old is your daughter? lol. there are alot of things that are better so I might aswell do what I have to do now before I become 18!.lol. Im not worried about getting introuble, they have to catch me first jk [maybe] ------------------ |

Welcome to the Club!!!!!I wish i had a car like a Prowler when i was 16!!I drove around my parents cars. Nothing special thats for sure. One word of warning, i did alot of stupid things in cars at 16 and have lived to tell about it. Some of my friends haven't!!!At 16 you feel like you can live forever, take to many chances, make bad decisions. Have fun with the Kat,its a great site, alot of real smart, knowledgeable helpful people. Just don't ask me any mechanical advise--i flunked Autoshop in High school!!!LOL ------------------ |

Regardless of the brand or type nitrous system that you select, change the spark plugs (actually install them in the car, carry them in the trailer doesn't count)to Denso Iridium. they are very expensive. I'm not promoting spark plugs, I'm saying that the extreme temperature range that they can operate in may protect your engine. Too much nitrous and not enough fuel sends temperatures through the ceiling. The first thing to go is the spark plug electrodes. The second valves and pistons. Stick to a smaller shot of nitrous and try not to exceed a quarter mile duration. Fuel pump can't keep up beyond that. Sorry for the note. Just don't want to see more people disappointed with the end results. |

Ramsie, welcome to POA! Thinking of doing NOS on mine also, Marty can be a good source of "Do's and Don'ts" when it comes to Nitrous.

Hey young'n, Welcome Dude, 136 db's cool, I also use to have a 141.2 db system in my Chevy dually, be careful of popping windshields and YOUR EARS, just had my checked and one ear has a 40% loss of hearing and I know it was jammin to hard with the 1600 watt stereo..... Also a tip is if you run your AC before you check the Sound Pressure Levels, it's could be good for a couple more db,,,,,Saw the special on the tube the other day where they did 171 or 176 something, WOW,,,,that's hitt'n Hard Again Welcome to the POA, |
