The dealer is sending it to Tire Kingdom to have it done. Anything I should watch out for? The dealer told me its a 50/50 chance the sensor could be damaged. 50/50? WOW! |

yea, make sure they know how to "grip" those rims so you don't have little grip dents. |

quote: anyone dismounting/mounting the tires MUST have equipment with plastic protective covers over all points of contact with the rim If they do custom wheels they should have the right stuff. Make sure to tell them you do not want them damaged by their equipment. It might be good to have before pictures or have the store manager look at the condition when you take them in, BEFORE, they ever touch them. Mine have NO marks in them from the mounting equipment, mine were sent out and chromed and then the tires remounted OH, if they know what they are doing they will not damage the sensors Good Luck |

Funny...I am having mine replaced the same day! Only difference is the dealer is doing it....they said to allow about 4 hours to do it. The dealer is Massey-Yardley in Stuart, FL. and the Svc Mgr said they had the equipment to do it. Hope the new wheels hold up better the the originals! ------------------ |

Have had 6 remounted, no damage to sensors, can't imagine how anyone who knows what they're doing could possibly damage sensors. Took about a half hour per pair. NOTE: Make sure the wheels are not switched (if they do them two at a time, or "rotate tires the hard way", it's likely). The sensors are coded so if one goes off (or fails, was was my case) you don't want to have them switched so you know which one is the problem. -GRROWL |

I've had my tires changed 2 different times and both times were perfect. They told me a trick is to remove the nut on the sensor and let it drop into the tire so that it will not get broken during removal |
