We do things a little slower here in Indiana. That includes personalized plates. Check out this post from back in May where I ordered my custom plate. Well I finally picked it up today! Here's a quick shot with bad lighting to hide the plate background. If you've seen the new Indiana plate you know what I mean ... ------------------ |

Agree....the new Indiana plates are possibly the worst ever....they will match your car only if it is white.......background is a lime and light blue farm scene....designer must have been using........ |

Bill, you need a POA frame to take away from the UGLY plate. I read were the designer of the plate was not happy with what the state did to the design. I seen a sketch of the plate before it was done and it looked much better this might be the 1st year I cover the plate with a smoked cover, I know it is illegel, but I see other people get by with it. cannot wait for the next 5 years to get over with so we get a new plate design This message has been edited by WildCat on 02-22-2003 at 02:13 PM |

Larry(Wildcat), Yep I’m waiting on that one. Gary C you out there? Just kidding. Let us know how that’s going. I really need one on the PT. Have you felt these new plates? They are metal but just barley. My PT plate is curled. I’m hoping the frame will straighten it some or I may just need to attempt to bend. Sheesh. Now to keep the personalized plate I have to go back every year before Oct to a license branch, stand in line to reserve it for the next year. The gal kind of mentioned that in passing. I asked her if I could reserve for next year and she said “oh yea, that would be a good idea”. If I had to come back again this year just for the reservation, I may have gone off on the BMV.
